Quarterback Russell Wilson is visiting Friday with the Pittsburgh Steelers and spoke with the New York Giants on Thursday as the free agent-to-be seeks his next NFL team, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

League sources described Wilson's session with the Giants as an "exploratory meeting." Wilson is expected to meet with other teams, including possibly the Las Vegas Raiders, sources said.

Wilson is meeting with teams ahead of his release by the Denver Broncos at the start of the league year on Wednesday. Sources told Schefter this week that the Broncos had granted Wilson permission to immediately begin speaking and meeting with other teams in their home cities.

The Steelers have only 2022 first-round pick Kenny Pickett under contract at quarterback. Mason Rudolph is entering free agency after starting three games for Pittsburgh last season.

Russ has been done for years
He's not washed. His 2023 stats are comparable to Lawrence and Mayfield. And for million buck's plus why not turn to him for a year. It's worth kicking the tires.

If the threshold is that he is "better than nothing," he exceeds that. Seattle knew, Denver found out and anyone paying attention realizes that the guy is done. Years ago, he stopped running and then became just another guy. Pitt can sign him for $1m...that is no bargin as in addition to being done, he is hated in the locker room.

His stats are very deceiving

He plays to protect his interception rate

200 yards per game Lolol

He sucks

If he played in Dallas and they backed into the playoffs, it'd be impossible to do worse than Dak.

That locker room reputation does get whispered around. I would never sign a QB with that seemingly well deserved reputation.

Pittsburgh goes from having the worst QB in the division to having the worst QB in the division.
2 QBs in that division can't stay on the field, the other isn't even a real QB. Lol.

Division is up for grabs imo.

Watson sucks, probably battle that other team in Ohio for last place. Looks like Bengals locker room has issues with Higgins wanting out. hahaha

No way Lamar gets thru 17 games again. And even if he does, he's a choker in postseason.

All Wilson has to do is be good, not great, to get the Steelers over the top.

Bengals FO might actually get bailed out by the Tee trade request

They were going to let him walk for nothing next off season. Never were going to sign him long term

Now they can look semi-competent by being forced to get something for him
