We got a push today fellas. Better than a kick in the groins as people always say.

For tomorrow, my best bet is Germany -1 -130 with a local (similar or better price can be found online).

It is very simple here: The Germans win and they will be in. They can also get in if they draw with Ghana, pending results from the other match (Serbia v. Australia). Ghana can advance with a draw (or a loss, pending results from the other match) so I do not believe they need a win here as much as the other side.

I have been fading the African teams since the start of the 2nd set of games. They have not shown me anything to put my hard-earned dollars on them and this team Ghana is no exception. They could not capitalize with 1 man advantage for almost 70 minutes against a courageous but average Aussie squad and that may come back and bite them in the behinds.

Germany will not have Klose for this game but the subs are more than capable to put something behind a suspect Richard Kingson. The German tanks will roar into the 2nd round and I am not afraid to lay this for 2 units.

Cheers!

Another push makes the world go 'round.

For tomorrow, my best bet is Japan +0.5 -150 with a local (similar or better price can be found online)

I rate these 2 teams fairly evenly and with Japan only needing a draw to go through, I will be glad to be on the underdog with the plus spread. Danish forwards do not strike fears into anyone and Japan has a pretty good defense, shutting out the Indomitable Lions and only conceded 1 goal to the high-flying Dutchmen (the ball should have been stopped by a more capable goalie)

I think the Japanese will field a defensive-minded formation and try to capitalize on the counter-attack. One of Denmark's best defender, Simon Kjaer, is suspended and will not play this game. The pressure is on Denmark to win to move on and they could be exposed at the back. Give me the Japanese plus the spread and best of luck as always!

Nice work, I'm also siding with JAP - 1/2.

1 more win for my best bet of the day! Good to see you on those Asian teams as well souza. They may not have as much talent as the Europeans or the South Americans but you can't never count them out. I expect Japan and South Korea to give Paraguay and Uruguay a run for their money, respectively.

For tomorrow, my best bet is Portugal +0.5 -150 with a local (similar or better price can be found online)

Brazil has already qualified for the 2nd round and they will be playing without 2 of their top playmakers in Kaka (suspension) and Elano (injury). Portugal can advance with a win or a tie or even a loss (with an Ivory Coast loss which is unlikely). I do not rank Brazil that much higher than Portugal, as a matter of fact, I consider Brazil defense to be more shaky. They have given up late goals to North Korea and Ivory Coast while Portugal has kept a clean sheet in both games.

It goes without saying but this game will be won in mid-field and with the extra motivation that Portugal has to make it to the 16, I will side with Ronaldo and Co.

Cheers and good luck as always!

Another winner for my best bet of the day!

For tomorrow, my best bet will be Ghana PK +100 (similar or better price can be found online).

Simply put, I rate these 2 teams fairly evenly. I give the nod to the States on offense but I think Ghana is more solid at the back. I think they will put a good fight tomorrow and capitalize on quick counter-attacks. Ghana has the added motivation (or pressure), depending on how you look at it as being African last hope.

In this predictably tight game, I will take a flyer with the team who has a solid D and who has the fans' support.

Please note this is only for 90 minutes and injury time. Extra-time and especially PK are crap-shoot, anything can happen and anyone can win. A draw in 90 minutes and I get my money back.

Another push makes the world go 'round. Better than a kick in the nuts, as they'd say.

For tomorrow my best bet is Mexico +1 -120 with a local(similar or better price can be found online)

With all due respect to Argentina offensive prowess, its defense leaves something to be desired for and I believe the Mexicans can take advantage of this and hang around in this game. Walter Samuel, one of Argentina defensive stalwart, will not play tomorrow. I just do not see the Argentines winning more by 1 goal in this game and this is a great opportunity to see how Maradona will handle games in this knock-out stage, having guided Argentina through 3 fairly easy matches in the group stage.

It goes without saying but there is a lot of stake here and I will back the team who is capable of scoring and who can capitalize on defensive miscues.

Cheers!
