I thought Davidson got beat by Citadel earlier this week. Might be the time for Davidson at home to put on a game face and keep it on until they eventually go out in NCAA Tourney.

Yeah, I am sorry, I was insinuating they were looking ahead against The Citadel and that may have partially played into that loss. I think people see that loss to the Citadel and are all over Butler. Also, it's possible the books haven't quite caught up, but that's another matter. :think2:

I'd have to say Illinois is the most overrated team in the nation, followed by Butler and Syracuse. I'd be very surprised if Butler covered today. They are an average team this year, even if their record doesn't indicate that. And let's not forget they couldn't even beat Loyola at home. Curry at 90% can still probably put up 25+.

i dont agree with a word of that. Big Ten is so underrated. Yah they dont score, they play D. Put any of those teams against those BIg East teams that cant stop anyone and i think the big ten wins. Illinois is young they struggle on the road but are very talented. Butler is a very solid team, they get everyones best shot, like duke and gonzaga they are bound to lose a few

Butler looks good so far. I completely forgot that they had lost their last 2 games. That set them up nicely for a bounce back today. Not saying they will win or even cover, but this fast start makes a lot of sense now.

I think some of it has to do with Davidson looking bad. Shooting 33% so far, Curry can't hit anything. Butler should be winning this game well into the double-digits...

Wow looks like the refs got davidson!!!!!!!! They get butlers 2 best players in foul trouble on bullshit calls. Butler is just a better team and they should be up double digits if it were not for the zebras

So you want to put Illinois up against the Big East? As in, UCONN Big East? Pitt Big East? Marquette Big East? Louisville Big East? Villanova Big East? They would get beaten by every one of those teams. Sorry, just not impressed at all with Illinois. If they were as good as you say, they would be able to score more than 36 points on the road at Minnesota. And they sure as hell would be able to score more than 33 points at home against Penn State.

And FWIW, I never said I had a problem with the Big-10. I simply said the Illini are overrated. And I haven't seen anything all season to disprove that.
