I have lots of humor in my life thank you. If I want swearing and dirty jokes then I know where to go see them. I don't expect it on CBS. I am not offended by comedy.
The point you clearly missed, purposely I suspect, is that a 62- year old man making jokes about A-Rod knocking up a 14 year old girl is tasteless. He should have known better but didn't care because he hated Palin so much.
people talking about raping a 14 years old girl might also be seen as not right in the head. As are those people who think its fine. Just saying.

Letterman did NOT Joke about knocking up or raping a 14 year old. And the Butt of the jokes were NOT Palin's daughter, but were Elliot Spritzer and A-Fraud.
Letterman was the closest thing to The great Carson. Although I don't watch his show much anymore, with so many choices for what to watch, I'll miss him. It was a fantastic run.

Nothing worth arguing here. I said initially I liked some of his stuff like the top 10 list, but thought his obvious liberal bias over the last few years turned me off. Jokes are jokes and during the Bush era he ripped him good and they were funny. I enjoyed them. Something changed in 2008. He got nasty and classless.
He was nothing close to Carson. No one is. Great run though. An American icon for sure.
