Thanks Korn. Isn't it ironic that to get the most out of a capper you have to start following him at his lowest point which is almost always below .500? Faith has its rewards I suppose...yesterday another split day as team Darryl doesn't look ready to lose any ground just yet. Let's see what the final day of 2004 brings...

Friday's plays:

YTD: 33-23-2 +8.81 units

St. Joseph's +11.5 -107 (Hol)
Saint Louis +22 -107 (IIS)

Another 2-0 night but I would imagine many who took St. Joes close to game time either pushed or lost because the closing line was 10.5 I think. With 0.7 seconds left Ohio State was 9 ahead and scored a pointless 2 at the buzzer just to annoy some people. Oh well sh*t happens. On my 2 pushes I should say the opposite happened ie. anyone who bet those late won because the line moved in the right direction. So I guess it evens out in the long run.

Anyway on to Saturday's plays...

YTD: 35-23-2 +10.81 units

Fordham +15.5 -102 (Pin)
Louisiana Tech +5.5 +103 (Pin)

We've come a long way since our last 0-2 night but looks like last night refreshed our memory a bit. I hope this is not some sort of foreshadowing thing for the 2005 year...lots of games today so we'll go with a slate of 4...let's prove last night was an accident...

YTD: 35-25-2 +8.79 units

UNLV +15 -108 (Pin)
Stanford +14 -108 (Pin)
UL Lafayette +11.5 -107 (IIS)

Both games went down to the wire last night and so I suppose it's only fitting that we went 1-1. Lots of games tonight so we'll go with a card of 4...

Wednesday's plays:

YTD: 41-27-2 +12.72 units

East Carolina -3.5 -107 (IIS)
Purdue +8 -107 (Hol)
Michigan +10.5 -107 (Hol)

Yeah that Purdue was a bummer...still a respectable 2-2 yesterday and we'll surely get some breaks in the other direction also. We'll go with another card of 4 tonight as there are plenty of games on tap again...

Thursday's plays:

YTD: 43-29-2 +12.58 units

Fla. International +11.5 -102 (IIS)
Stanford -2 -101 (Pin)
Long Beach St. +8 -107 (Hol)
Tennessee Tech -6.5 EV (Pin)

Another day in the plus column yesterday ... 2-1-1 is a result I'll gladly have any day of the week. Today is quite light and there is only one play strong enough to meet my criteria...

Friday's play

YTD: 45-30-3 +13.57 units

Siena +5.5 -107 (Hol)

The other one I was considering was N.Iowa/Evansville UNDER but the line has already been hammered and so the value is mostly (if not completely) gone. I know I promised two plays a day but I'd rather keep the quality high. Tomorrow we'll have lots more to choose from.

Your system seems to be working very well. I like that you narrow your plays down to the most solid and don't have huge cards. So...I will be jumping on all your plays from here on out. I have not followed any capper before but I am very impressed with you. I wish I would have done this earlier (when you were down), because I really believed you would go on a run. I very seriously contemplated it, but figured I would give it my own shot. I Have been a little under .500 this season (and that is only because I started out on fire). Thank goodness for the bowl games! CFB is much easier for me to beat than CBB. I gave back some of my CFB profit last year in b-ball, before kicking the mans @ss on soft NCAA tourney lines. So, I would rather just take your plays and learn from you (win or lose), while being very selective the rest of the way on my own plays. Thanks and good luck!

Thanks Korn for the vote of confidence...but I should warn you my long term capping record is only slightly above 50% (something like 52%) so I would say I've been quite lucky in hoops this season. Maybe my new system is a gold mine or maybe it's due for a reality check, who knows!? In any case proceed with caution ... although I do appreciate the support.

Last night was one we'd rather forget as the loss column gets anther two ticks, but let's do our best to correct that with a couple of solid ones tonight...

YTD: 50-34-3 +14.36 units

NC Greensboro +7 -107 (Hol)

Darryl -- Ok, since you feel your system is still unproven, and you attribute some of your success this YTD in b-ball to luck....then I guess I will not hop on all your plays blindly.

Korn,

Playing most of my plays should be OK if the line doesn't move against us and if you make sure not to bet too much on any one game. Also it can't hurt to see if any good cappers disagree for mine is but one perspective among the many. In any case best of luck to you.

Yesterday was a fairly uneventful split but no regrets as we try to forge ahead with two more solid ones tonight...

Tuesday's plays:

Looks like last night was the Alan Palmer jinx! LOL just kidding...thanks, appreciate the props...your picks seem to be based on the same underlying philosophy as mine so imagine you must be having a good season as well!? Do you know what your YTD figure is roughly?

Yesterday sukked to be sure as we went 0-4 with Purdue giving it their best shot but pooping out at the wire. I do not regret any of those plays and simply chalk it up to sh*t happening. Slightly fewer games on tap tonight so it's back down to 2, but a solid 2 for sure...

Thursday's plays:

YTD: 53-39-3 +12.12 units

Murray State -3.5 -112 (IIS)
Weber State +6 -104 (Pin)
