Used to live down the street from gleneagles. My fave area in the metroplex (w Plano).
Never played there and have heard it's ok for a pricey cc.
It's adjacent to willow bend...where aikman, etc live.
Now that I think about it...not sure I've ever seen anyone under 70 playing when driving by...its in the middle of a neighborhood.
Congrats...I would like to snag a round there.

you going to golf tourney?

I'm not...have a lot going on next weekend. I've been a ton...you'll see big parties at the houses on the back nine of the four seasons side...
I play that course a few times a year...and it's nothing great.
I'm telling you, the eye candy/pavilion are why people go to that tourney. Even the players know about this and then the Colonial...girls all day everyday everywhere.
No one cares who wins. Have fun here

thanks...I'm full thursday-saturday and flying out on sunday...or I would hit you up. There is a pocket of restaurants across 114 that are decent (The Ranch, The Keg, Taco Diner)
Cool River isn't bad and it's always packed around this tourny
...you are only 15 mins from up/downtown Dallas where there are some good spots...Meddlesome Moth and Common Table and gastropubs with good food worth checking out.

If you can get couple extra tickets I'd be interested. I'm free rest of the week. Yeah, closest liquor store is is 10 min East off NW Hwy. Taco Diner is pretty good. Byron Nelson is always a blast. I lived in Las Colinas a few years '06-09. Let me know and we can hook up.

I would say I'm surprised everyone isn't staying at the 4 seasons...but I can't imagine the rates. I've never thought about that actually...so I'm guessing you are at that Omni?
Champps is one of the last places I would have told you to go...haven't been in years. If they were in any other location in the metroplex...they would have never made it.
How was Gleneagles?

Ive actually stayed at The Byron Nelson Suite at Four Seasons for a weekend. I believe it was 2200 sq feet. Backed up to the 16th hole I believe. I stayed with a girl who got the room for us. She works for Merrill lynch and they get specials on rooms and what not. Her price was $600/night. It's probably 1k night I would guess. The suite is pimp!! Had a full living room 2 baths dining room, bedroom and awesome patio. I could live there.

Welcome to the big ass buckle of that Bible Belt.

Depending on location, many Texans - even in high population areas - are 10 or more miles from a legal liquor store.

In similar fashion, many restaurants depending on location do not permit you to even buy an alcoholic drink unless you also buy an annual 'membership'. Such tolls range from $5 to even more if they are seeking a certain customer profile
