It reminds me of when the UFC stated getting big in '06, Chuck Liddell was about to become a huge commercial star (commercials, cameos) Then he lost to Rampage who lost to Forrest who lost to Rashad who lost to Machida who lost to Rua who eventually lost to Bones Jones and he finally solidified the division.
Sometimes there is just a lot of parity in divisions in MMA. Women's MMA is no different.
Heavyweight has the most parity, just a lot of variance in heavyweight fighting. 260 pound dudes hitting each other with 4oz gloves. Not much margin for error for anyone unless some Ray Lewis type decides to skip the NFL and take up MMA at age 15.
