I do respect your opinions, however I am not sure where you figure UNC built their record by playing cupcakes. The ACC ended the regular season with 3 of the top 4 teams in the national polls and NC State was #15. We also beat LSU ranked #4 or #5 twice in the last week. You are correct about Fresno State having higher draft picks this year, with 3 great pitchers. It should be noted, however, that UNC led all Division 1 teams with the lowest overall ERA. Fresno State managed to lose 29 games this season and I see their Cinderella run ending tonight. If you still believe Fresno is the best team you can get them at +165 at The Greek.

West Coast teams have faired quite well in college baseball over the years. No program has won more titles than USC. The Trojans have something like 12. ASU has 5 titles, UofA has 4. Stanford has a few as well. Dont forget about Cal St. Fullerton....

I got nothing against west coast schools, went to one for almost 2 years before transferring. Reading my post again I can see how you got that though. My point was more about homers than how effective different areas of the country play ball, not Ted specifically but just overall. When I see "wrong team favored" I always check location, amazing how many times Florida for example is almost a certainty by someone going to Gainesville. Lot of bias on the board when it comes to geography, conferences etc...... always prefer to bet a play where the "wrong team is favored" if it's an east coast capper playing a west coast school or vice versa.

Ended up being a solid pick though, a nice dog was just one hanging curveball away from cashing. Can't complain about the capping here.

Fresno State had 3 pitchers drafted before North Carolina had any body drafted. Federov or whatever was 1st player taken 227th pick and Fresno worse pitcher has bad him look very bad 2 games in a row. Best of 7 Would be a PK em if not Fresno small fav.

Pitching , team iq and coaching huge edge to Fresno. Fresno had losts of injurys this year. NoCar beat an overrated Miami other than that didnt play anybody. ACC has NEVER EVER NEVER won a National Championship in baseball.

Who cares if they've ever won a national title. This is this year. FSU was dynamite this season, Carolina was very good, Miami was terrific and NC State was lights out.

Fresno State played a much lesser schedule and lost 30 games. Carolina played a much tougher schedule. There is ZERO question on whether Carolina is the better team or not.

Oregon State wasn't the best team in the country last year but they got hot at the right time.

The ACC was the best conference in America this year. NC was great in that conference. Baseball is one of the few sports that rankings are usually pretty accurate all season.

I am making no argument. Just wanted to point out that your statement was incorrect. Note that Stanford beat the other two ACC teams in this tournament and only lost twice to Georgia which has a very good chance of winning the title. We all have biases. Just don't let them cloud your judgment.

Baseball is a game that should always be decided by a 7 game series. That being said the ACC had the most teams in the college world series and they had the most teams ranked in the top 10 at the end of the year. Coincidence? I think not.

Lets not forget you don't get an invite to the final 8. You have to play into it. They played into it and the Pac 10 didn't. It was the better conference. I respect your opinion Whale but you're west coast bias is obvious.
