i saw the entire game in taylor's first start. he just looked so nervous out there. walked half the cubs lineup in that first inning and he was just rattled. he did settle down a bit way later. he has potential. hopefully he got all the jitters out in that beat down against philly.

the cubs are missing some bats and their lineup isn't that potent. only soriano scares me. the marlins were playing horrible when they faced philly so it was no surprise they lost that game.

the fish are back on track and facing a struggling cubs team. harden hasn't been great either, so that doesn't help them out in the least. the price is WAy TOO HIGH.

i like the fish and the over in the early game. we'll just have to wait and see how things pan out.

If you go back to the game that taylor pitched he went out of the game in the top of the 4th down 4-0 . Phillies scored 9 runs in the last 2 innings.

Can get Marlins at + 260 and the + 1.5 runline at + 114. .. That is insane value for how bad the Cubs been struggling. Their bats have been cold and in 10 of their 11 losses shutout twice and scored 3 or less. Can Harden right the ship today and the bats wakeup vs the rookie?

Probably Not. Im not betting the cubs till they get to Lilly. Lilly is $$$ at home.

Also for how bad the Marlins bullpen was a week ago, they have been pretty good the past 4 or 5 games while the Cubs bullpen has some shaky moments when anyone other then Marmol is in.


Marlins pen solid past 3 games, 9 IP for 1 run 5 hits and 4 walks.
Marlins team hit 168 past 3 games 15 walks, 3 home runs, 12 runs.


8.5 is a rare seen line at Wrigley with a rookie pitcher on the mound as well... Wow.

The only thing that would make someone lean on the Cubs is Rich Harden who hasn't been good at wrigley.

Cubs bullpen stats last 3 games : 7 IP, 12 runs, 8 hits, 12 BB, 2.857 WHIP:scared2:

Harden usually goes 5-7 innings.
