Blue I agree with you about the Cubs pen, but my god Wood has been on fire lately and they are playing Cinci which is a little better than minor league team. I'm hoping it rains out for all of you runline players. Now besides LaD who has the best pen in the Majors? My top 5 are Lad, Hou, Atl, Oak, and NYY. Give me your top 5 pens blue.

They should not even be in this situation. Kerry Wood is all over the place every game and this one it is going to hurt him. I hope his dumb ass is in the clubhouse dejected. He pitched 6 innings and threw 113 pitches. Absurd! That is way too many pitches with a 5 run lead. You have a fastball that guns at about 95-97 regularly and you are afraid to challenge hitters with a 5 run lead. I hate him and I hate him even more because I laid alot of money and they are not going to be able to keep a 5-0 lead. Thanks for listening. I am starting to hate baseball!
Wiz Kid- You're right on the money about Kerry Wood. He throws way too many pitches. He loses his concentration on the mound and has had control problems throughout much of his career because he doesn't know how to pitch. He has a load of talent but until he learns to challenge hitters like he should, he will find himself with high pitch counts and depending on the bullpen to save his games because he can only pitch 6 innings.
The Cubs got lucky today because the Reds are lousy too. But everyone has seen in the last couple weeks why the Cubs won't make the playoffs. Their bullpen is hideous and they leave way too many men on base. They are a 500 team, at best.
