Yes if the creators are not known, there is a good chance its a money grab like Dungeonswap.
Bought it at 4, went up to 16... I sold it at 3... Ouch lol
But even the good ones, imo are Ponzi schemes.
They will need to get outside advertising revenue. Otherwise the winning players and the fees will kill the game
Using Axie Infinity. You win SLP by playing against the computer (7 SLP). You also win PVP. Then you have to complete a mission every day. You only make about $40/day playing but those in the Philippines do it for a living. To get started you need around $1500. The money is in giving scholarships and breeding.

Axie Infinity is the blockchain form of Pokemon. There is skill involved in game play (I suck at the game, still haven't figured it out and probably won't). The axies that you have play a huge role. They cost $250 and up. You need to buy 3 to start. If you go with the cheapest it's tough to win and you won't make anything breeding. I'm also hoping that the axies go up in price to sell.
