yeah first time i did the same thing...but those directions are for eating the soup only...do not add the water... have cooked this 3 times in last 2 weeks...4 large bone-in chicken breast...2 cans cream of chicken soup(no water)...set on 8 hours walk away...then cook rice and green beans and corn on cob and you have awesome 2 meals..the soup makes good use for gravy for rice

You can do this one Crock or on the stove....

(Beer Brats)

Pkg - Brats
12 oz Beer
Tsp or so of Minced fresh garlic
2 - Bell Peppers cut up
1 - Small Yellow Onion cut up
1 - Can Saukraut
Mustard
Salt & Pepper

Pour beer in pot...Add brats and boil for 20-25 min on med heat...Take out brats and add bells, onion and garlic let simmer on med heat untill brats are done on the grill...Convert brats to bbq for about 10 min on low....Cut up brats into pieces and add to plate pour over beer mixture and add saukrat with some mustard and salt & pepper, or whatever you like as a topping....

For the crock I would add beer and brats and cook on high for 1 hour then bbq on low 10-15 mins...Add mix to beer and simmer...It's good eats either way you decide to do it....

I make chicken and dumplings with one.

4 boneless chicken breast halves
1/2 stick butter
2 cans cream chicken soup
1 onion cut up
2 tubes biscuits of your choice

put everything in the cooker except for the buscuits and cover with water. cook on high for 6 hours. After 5.5 hours throw in the buscuits

awesome meal...i boiled a 16oz bag of wide noodles for 8 minutes then drained...took the crock pot and poured the whole thing in the pot with the noodles the meat simply falls apart while mixing with noodles....then microwaved green beans and corn on the cob..still have enough noodles and meat left for about 3 more meals...so i got 4 good country homemade meals for about 12 bucks...

coat steaks in flour, salt & pepper
put in a crockpot

reduce to low and cook 3-4 hours

serve with mashed potatoes or rice
