Sager broadcast Royals spring training and Chiefs' preseason games during the 1970s.

Sager began his career in 1972 as a reporter for WXLT (now WWSB-Channel 40) in Sarasota, FL. He was waiting for Hank Aaron at third base and interviewed him on the way to home plate after Aaron hit his 715th home run, breaking the record held by Babe Ruth.[SUP][2][/SUP] Sager can be easily recognized in the fracas at home plate after the home run because of the long white overcoat that he was wearing.

They should make a coffee table photo book of his suits from over the years and donate proceeds to leukemia fight.

RIP to a great entertainer.

That Idea is either Total Genius or you have less than zero fashion sense.

Sager's Suits were the best that any white man has ever worn. By a wide wide margin.

Yes, a very positive concept. In some of our eyes. I'm just razzing you tho, I dig that not all are down with the Loud Colors and very unusual styles. Which is great cuz of all if us were into the exact same stuff this place would a whole lot less interesting. :toast:

“Sports are supposed to be fun, and so I had fun with the way I dressed,” Sager said. “I used to get reprimanded, but then at the 2002 All-Star Game, commissioner [David] Stern was making fun of me and then his wife says, ‘David, stop that. I like those suits.’ And once I won the commissioner’s wife over, it all changed. It was a huge breakout moment.”

Charles Barkley, his colleague at TNT, has joked that Sager looked like a “pimp.” :):)

That would be an awesome tribute! Think of the laughs we'd get out of it and that's something Craig would've definately been ok with if he were to see the joyment we'd all get out of it.
