JJ has not been making substantive decisions re Cowboys personnel since probably spring of 2014 when his demand to draft Johnny Manziel was firmly vetoed by the CEO and DPP, his son Stephen Jones

Stephen's decision making of past seven years is not without criticism

But if Zeke is not suspended for six games in 2017 and Dak does not miss virtually entire 2020 they would have been a playoff club four years of past five

And lest we forget, in 2016 they lost twice to NYG by a combined four points and once in a meaningless Week17 game that otherwise *might* have been a 16-0 season

If Cowboys were to *move on* from Dak it would essentially guarantee no playoffs until at least 2024

Zeke enters 2021 just 26 yrs old so it's more than reasonable to forecast next couple seasons as serious playoff contention especially given the current condition of NFCEast

Thanks for checking in.

Dak deal is fine, they fucked up not doing it earlier which bit them in the ass (sunk cost), supply and demand, QB is most important position, cap is going way up, he's pretty good but not elite, it'll be tougher to compete but is what it is yada yada yada

Zeke's deal was a mistake though...RB gotta be elite in the passing game like CMC or Kamara to even think about commanding that type of $. Pollard seems like he is already better than him. Aaron Jones is better than Zeke and only got 75% of what Zeke got.

Mostly agree w/ Lanquel though, also glad he found a reason to go on now that he doesn't have the Teflon Don to fantasize about all day. Return of old name = new lease on life
