NBA needs to take note of the controversy/talk surrounding this right now & address it by simply changing the rules to state the MVP must come from the winning team.

There's just something unethical about awarding it to a player on the losing team...

Tonight's Refs all had 1 of 5 games in this series Cav's won both on June 7th/9th they also won at FT line 45-64 to 26-37. Cav's won 5 of 8 quarters so GSW need to shoot 3pt ball early and pick-up pace........ I'd take GSW 1st 1/2 looking for this from Kerr's as my plan..... We'll see, tip-off

There is no controversy about this.
There is nothing unethical about it.

Its no different then someone winning the MVP in baseball on a losing team.
That has happened many times over the years.

MVP is MVP.

There is no rule that says the MVP has to play on the team that wins.

LJ has been the MVP of this series , therefore he deserves to win the award.

The only controversy in my mInd would be if LJ averages a 3x2x for the series and does not win it.

Don't really care who wins MVP if I don't have a bet on it.

Mostly agree just make a rule it has to come from winning team. Finals MVP/Superbowl MVP/WS MVP presentation is 1 of the coolest parts of seeing the winning team celebrate.

It's not like LeBron needs more accolades either. Most of us who aren't mouth breathers understand how good he is.

if there was ever a situation for losing team to have someone win MVP it was now and I am glad it didnt happen. I dont think it should be allowed. Sort of an unwritten rule that needs to be a real one.

If the 2 all-stars that went down during the playoffs were injured throughot the entire season & the Cavs were in the West division they wouldn't even have made the playoffs. Are Irving & Love as talented as Ibaka & Durant I don't think so. Westbrook was magical without
the other two down the stretch and they didn't make it.
