GDXJ up nicely as well, 7.5%

Barely off all time highs despite market being down around 20%

Obviously if we get another March then that stuff is getting sucked down with everything else, but it is going down less on the downswings and going up more on the upswings.

BofA calling for gold 3k

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...-gold-target-to-3-000-as-fed-can-t-print-gold

Bloomberg is paywalled so if you can't read that, just google Bank of America gold 3k and you will find something you can read

Gold is my biggest position and I said it awhile ago. The miner stocks are doing extremely well.

Longer term gold will probably not follow the market....which will probably be a good thing.

Almost hate when "the experts" agree with my thinking. They have definitely have more educational training and time to come up with their conclusion than I do. Not sure which of the big bank "experts" have done well. It is not like a sports forum and you post your record as 60-40 in the nfl and I can say he has had a good season. They are kind of like the weatherman.....oh I was wrong today but here is my forecast for tomorrow.

I just love this guy. Wall Street is going to really hate him because he just tells it like it is.

Me....I root for the underdog.....I root for the guy that is not as fortunate as me.....I will root for main street over wall street every day. I root for the guy that gets up at 5:00 am and does hard manual labor until sunset. The guy that is working 2 jobs to try to care for his family. Those are the guys that take the shaft when the shit hits the fan. Chamath is right. Fuck the rich hedge fund manager. They are big boys and if they lost money in the market....main street doesn't need to bail them out.

I jokingly say that no one has ever accused me of hard work. Probably not far from the truth. I was lucky enough to make a few more good decisions than bad in my life. Plus the ability to look at things and make rationale decisions.

Today I used my decision making abilities to decide what club to use uphill into the wind. Stroked a nice 6 iron to about 15 feet and drained my birdie putt. First round of the year with no warm ups, putting green closed and havent swung a club since an outing at Top Golf in January. Shot a 39. Not bad for an old duffer.

I also like Schlumberger.
Not sure sure about Devon .
You got any insight on them ?

Not much of an insight. Devon financial is favorable comparing to its peers. They came in 2020 with $1.7B liquidity on the book, there is no major debt refi until 2025. The company literally suspend all capex for the rest of the year. They can survive this massacre and likely to come out stronger on the other side.

Weekly new UE claim: 4.4M. The # is still horribly high considering the amount of $ they're beefing up PPP. People who is on PPP should fall off UE programming....or NOT.

'for tomorow what MAY occur. A POSITIVE opening on the SPY would mean a bullish flutter kicker is likely to form ,-- going to be a battle as the 50 sma would need to be blasted through. Again, has to open positve .''

I took your post as you didnt like they way any of the markets that you are following were shaping up today....so you were going to sit on the sidelines and wait.

Nothing wrong with watching. For the most part that is what I am doing. Gold is my biggest holding. Just doing some trading on a short leash. Not what I normally do but the market is too crazy to make any long term plays right now. There are so many ways to play the market and many of them are totally different approaches. I am intrigued by your approach and have been watching it and trying to learn.

ES down a little bit, seems like it has to do with Trump talk of possibly extending social distancing guidelines into the Summer

Also distancing (no pun intended!) himself from Kemp and his efforts to reopen

The NFL draft was pretty boring......until Green Bay's pick. Then it was like watching the fireworks on the fourth of July. Had fun giving my Packer friends grief and listen to them try to rationalize the pick.

Market seems to be just going sideways the last few days. Maybe we can get some fireworks on the market too....much more entertaining. I definitely need some entertainment.

I did hear that the Packers are looking for a place kick holder in the second round.

Fed pump next Tue/Wed. Traders need assurance from Powell to drive S&P to 3K.

Gasoline consumption hit 50-yr low. Feel like we're at a rock bottom it has to go up.

I lost $36.90 in the market today. This is getting real boring.

It was headed for 3K before a retreat.

This just doesnt feel like rock bottom to me.

You think it is going up?

Gas price is at a rock bottom - PSX is still cheap even after a runup.

S&P500 is not so cheap. 5 big techs do all the heavy lifting for the index, they will try to push it to 3K.

May is a wild card, we might see a correction. Still think the stock market run ahead of itself is due for a drop.
