UNDER 20 WORLD CUP YTD: 13W - 15L - 5T (-11.44 units)

Czech Republic: The team I was hoping to see early in the tournament (while I was chasing it), finally showed up against Spain...

CHILE vs NIGERIA
Nigeria pk +113 (8 units)
Chile over 2 and 2.5 -109 (4.5 units)

Chile will miss Vidal. Nonethelss, IMO, they have shown that they are a defensive team team first, whose transition game has been exceptional. Will take nothing away from the Chilean strikers, but it has been the defensive and midfield core that has held opponents scoreless (made the Portuguese look downright ordinary). With respect to tactical execution and discipline they are superior to Nigeria. However, if you want to consider speed at the flanks, and overall size, this african nation is incredibly gifted. I do not believe Chile will be able to keep the tempo down to slow the Nigerians, who play at one incredible gear for 90 minutes. I believe they can score in this match, but more importantly, think they can score the first goal. When that happens, Chile will find themselves forced into unchartered territory, having to come from behind. What could start as a defensive struggle, could very well swing the offensive way. Watch for play to unfold (offensively) in the box, as the Nigerians could surprise with set pieces.

Argentina vs Mexico
Will wait and see how Nigeria / Chile unfolds....

COPA AMERICA YTD: 14W - 13L - 5T (+7.61 units)

Argentina vs Brazil

Was not able to watch Uruguay vs Mexico, thus I am unable to comment on it. Red card given to Uruguay is part of football, and may very well have contributed to the 3-1 result. Who the hell knows!!

Argentina -0.5 -112 (5.5 units)

May add on the total later on...

Good luck,

MA

Before the red card Uruguay had the controll of the game, actually they were winning 1-0 and were looking for more, after the red card all Mexico, thats part of the game.

GL like Nigeria pk and obviously GL with Argentina, vamo vamo argentina vamo vamo a ganar!!!!!!!!

Greetings,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Horrendous two day run of 0W – 7L (-36.3 units) was good enough to plunge my 2007 calendar year totals from even money to the frigid -30s.

I’ll take a stab at the last three games. After that, I’ll disappear until the beginning of Serie B and A (much player movement in both of these, and will take the time to absorb and make sense of what could unfold).

Czech Republic vs Austria
Unless the Austria U20 turns out to be the Greece of the last Euro, don’t think the Czechis will require more than 90 minutes to win, and advance to the final.

Rare. Won't bother watching the second half of this game. Arg diving skills to gain the foul is right up there with the Italian and Portuguese nationals. Can see Chili has not shifted the desperate gear following the RED. I believe it's called: defend, wait, slow the tempo, and shift to total offensive at the 70th minute. 20 minutes to burn your lungs (and your opponent). If you think I'm wrong, go ahead and post. A decent fight or two should break out if Chili can't pull out miracle (I guess I could be staring at a 3-0 nil final score)

2nd half..

can't resist...watching second half.

Vidal, mucho like that chuppacabra with Milan, Gattuso. Except with better offensive skills.

not fair to put down Italians and Portuguese like that

Arg players always have and always will be the worst divers in soccer. Very sad to watch but, in all honesty, very effective...like tonight

Actually, it is quite fair to put them the down. Call it respect. If I had to play 10 vs 11 for 3/4 of match, down a goal, I would choose me Wops and Ports over any team on this planet to plunk the equalizer. Nonetheless, I suppose I would need the full support of the refs. Arg-UNDER20 squad is very talented, and lucky. This combination is quite scary. STILL, I SEE NO GABRIEL BATTISTUTA material on this squad....never took a dive, not even in Italy, and never mind his shooting ability!.

Chile's Mathias Vid, is the best (offensive threath) player I have seen in this tournament, can penetrate the traffic in the box, not panic, and dish passes to both sides of his flanks. Impressed by his ability on the counter attack: has the vision to change the play options, where he'll slow it down if nothing is available, lure the D, and look for an intelligent forward to by-pass the off side on the give-n-go. If he can learn to kick effectively with both feet, he would be ideal Serie A material.

Czechs.
