We are all ashamed of our Governor who has the Daily Double of virus incompetence and rioting inaction other than to come out of his cave to muse about how everyone should do Nevada proud. The other locals here know that the LVPD hardly needs motivation to start banging heads. The city/state is not going to set a curfew with the casinos due to open on Thursday, but look for a very, very agressive approach starting tonight.
The idea that it happened "during" the protests is questionable. Police have been using their weapons against all peaceable assemblies starting around 10:00, the shooting happened after 12:00, when most of the protesters have either dispersed or been arrested. The protests all feature hundreds of people, if it happened during those, how is there such limited video.
I'm glad you read my stuff so closely. My general position on people in Las Vegas peaceably assembled, is that they are met with police violence, essentially ensuring all our protests are violent ones. There is plenty of video showing that there are plenty of people out at these being criminals. Not all of those criminals are the cops, some are among the protesters.
