what you see as an attempt to feel superior i see as a continuous effort to out the partisans. so get used to it...it's kind of my thing, you know (said in best goldmember voice)

using this forum as a sounding board to test my IQ wouldn't do a whole lot for me

i personally miss the days of divergent opinions no matter how wacky they were (aka Total Recall and the guy that cut lawns in Florida...don't remember his handle). they would predate your forum membership but it spurred some interesting conversation.

now it's unfounded stats, thomas sowell, and rasmussen polls. still it's a better place without my fellow PA resident to the east :)

There is nothing wrong with outing partisans, but let's not pretend you started this thread with the intention of spurring interesting conversation, as most intellectual conversations I've been a part of didn't include the phrase "partisan cvnts". I do, however, wholeheartedly agree that this forum could use more interesting conversation.

Yet it's turning into a pretty good conversation. Now to watch the video and see what all the fuss is about.....

I'm a "Morning Joe" watcher and not a huge FOX News fan but I do occasionally watch. I'm willing to cut her some slack, probably not a big sports fan; she probably could have been better prepared but that's about it. There will always be a victim in scenarios like the above, I hope you aren't one of them

Not sure of your intent for starting this thread but it looks like your day started worse than the newscaster; it appears you were ready to pounce on any and all respondents. Hope your day got better man, life is short, find a good hobby.

It was a disgrace that Imus got fired for that remark.

I wasn't shocked. I thought a firing was over the line, he apologized but then the college and team members were pissed and wouldn't let it go. It's too bad he had good show.

I wasn't even a fan of Imus for many years, as he was stale, and still is. But, I am a very strong believer that nothing is sacred in Comedy, I hate PC BS, and no one on Radio or TV should be fired for a comedic remark.

They were letting it go. He went to them and apologized. It wasn't one of those BS "I'm sorry if I offended anybody" apologies. He had no PR guy with him, no lawyers. The team and coach forgave him.

Wanna know who wouldn't let it go?.......Yup, the reverend Al Sharpton..... that other fraud Jesse Jackson had his hand in it too (if I remember correctly).
