Derek's Analysis of Egypt v Italy:
Italy seems like a simple choice, however their midfield lacks pace and physical presence. The Egyptians will push them around and the Azzuri will be resorted to flopping in which their best chance at a goal is a set piece delivery to Luca Toni for a header. I wouldn't expect any more brilliance from Giuseppe Rossi as he is still yet to reach his potential. It was easy for him to dice up a 10 man US squad.
I see Egypt as being too hungry to allow a pretty soft Italian team to dominate the game. If Zaki was playing I would play the Egypt win, however I am confident that Egypt can score at least 1, if not 2 goals against this Italy team. Egypt has confidence after a near draw against Brazil, and should catch Italy sleeping in the first half.
