Can any Bush haters here answer that question?

They're busy killing our troops and allies.

And the best part - Bushie has created loads more future terrorists, so just in case Jeb steals and election too then he too will have people to murder.

Ahh, good, you agree then that Bush has taken the fight to the terrorists and our military is now fighting them overseas instead of the NYPD and FDNY fighting them in New York City.

You finally understand.

No, that's not what I said.

Bush went to Iraq and created more terrorist by killing innocent civilians. Children who watch their parents get slaughtered by a occupying nation will feel nothing but rage towards that nation.

Bush has created more terrorists that will kill American citizens, and Spanish, and British, and Aussie .. and so on and so forth.

Had the little elf concrated on the enemey (Al Queda and Bin Laden) a whole bunch of Spanish might be alive today instead of having their body parts blown across their subway system.

Do you lie only when type or when you move your mouth as well?

You are such a brutal cliche that you aren't even worth talking to.

When I painfully read your sheepish words that consistantly echo the rhetoric of the o' appointed one I can help but think - "cant' teach an old dog new tricks."

I don't expect an old lemming of a Republican to see past their party's defiance of logic anymore than I would expect to see the seniors at a Catholic church open their eyes to the troubles within ...

and yet, I try to make sense of it all for you sensory-deficient geriatrics.

Interesting, when you can't attack the argument, attack the person right?

It wasnt a plan, it was a "series of actionable ideas"

What the hell is she talking about? She seems grossly underqualified , and the fact that her word acrobatics (which anyone can see through) are now public...well, lets just say I dont sleep well at night knowing that this woman has any clout, and influence over my security and liberty.

Her doublespeak was beyond funny though.

actionable ideas...wow.

as george Orwell, propheticlly pointed out in 1984, there must be an enemy.

I know my fellow Americans hate to hear this, but sadly, our country has commited MANY acts of terrorism over the past few decades. We are responsible for many needless deaths, and we cant reasonably claim that all of our killings were justified. It just isnt so.

It has happened under both parties, and our foreign policy borders on imperialism. In fact, it doesnt border on it...it is imperialism.

It is also often tragic, and counterproductive.

We need to drastically change our foreign policy, and neither Kerry, nor Bush are good to lead this country.

What this country needs is more than just a new puppet to be president...it needs a revolution.

For my money, the liberterian party is the best, most well organized alternative to the republicans and democrats.

Unfortunalty, most liberals hate the liberterian party because of its free market capitilism stance. I for one think capitalism can work...if it actually was real capitalism, and we elliminated the minimum wage, social programs etc...

I genuinly believe that if people got their incomes, and werent taxed on such needless government expenses, there would be less poverty, and more prosperity.

Most Democrats shit thier pants when they read the economic issues for the lp. www.lp.org

I can understand the concern, but I dont agree with it. If we want capitalism...then lets have real capitalism, and not a psuedo version.

It is a shame.

Orwell was a cool dude.
He's well worth reading up on.
One of the core things I gained from him was how we change as individuals when we finally understand the true strengths of society and culture.

On the downside are those bastardisations of language and culture that are oft used by the agenda freaks.

orwellian...a flag often used by those people who have no respect for the man.

----------------------------------

Footnote:
Isn't the Libertarian party just another nationalist party?
Lots more blurb, but nothing that's particularly new, and all couched in huge all sweeping statements, which these no-hope-of-running-the-country parties tend to do. Like the commies..

EverFresh - There is no argument in Lander's posts to attack. His opinions are not supported by any facts and there is no way to convicne him otherwise. It's like trying to convince a 4 year old that eating too many cookies is bad for him.

"I don't recall".

Spoken like a true Iran Contra hotseat witness.

Come on, can't we drop the right/left gloves and just acknowledge that leading federal officials have routinely lied to the American public for decades?

JFK/LBJ administrations created lies to prop up the Vietnam war and how they responded to the citizenry at home.

Nixon admin broke into the Watergate and then they tried to lie about that.

Reagan told us he would return fiscal sanity to the government and then outspent every president who had preceded him. Under his watch, VP Bush with the help of Oliver NOrth sold dope to South America to help fund the sale of arms to Iran.

Bush and his cronies then lied about that.

Clinton lied about his personal life both within the Oval Office and many think, outside the office.

Now Bush Jr must create the image of himself as a dynamic wartime leader even though it's clear what he was doing in the month preceding 9/11/01. It's also well known how he initially responded that fateful morning when he was in the Sarasota elementary school and was first told of the WTC being hit by an airplane.

"Bring it on!" he cried, even though he was surrounded by qualified people who told him that invading Iraq was insane.

In short, it's becoming harder and harder to lie to the American public about anything. In the information age with the average citizen having access to information they had to be spoon fed just 10 years ago, you better keep your $hit straight if you're going to be in elected office.

Bush has clearly failed to do so which is why he has a great chance of not being elected again this fall.

Admittedly, Kerry does not provide us with a sterling hope that his history has been much different. All we can hope is that he and his backers will learn from the lessons of the past four years (and further) that demonstrate dishonesty to the American people will be rewarded with a pink slip.

Here's some very interesting interviews from Friday April 9 discussing the Rice testimony to the 9/11 commision.

Note that the worst part of this charade is the deal made by the commissioners.

The White House agrees to have Rice testify for three hours, provided the commission agrees to NO LONGER ask for ANY MORE interviews with administration officials.

WTF??

So they get some fresh information in the coming 90 days from other sources and they will not be allowed to call any admin officials to the stand to verify/dispute?

GWB: Come on Condi, take this bullet for me. Just get up there and let them sweat you for 180 minutes and we're finally home free.

ANYWAYS, here's the links:

Two CIA analysts who discuss the contradictions in Rice's testimony and other aspects of the case. Unfortunately, at this time, all they have is a streaming audio.

Second and third, http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=04/04/09/1524223

FBI agent Coleen Rowley, who accused FBI headquarters in 2002 of hampering the investigation into alleged 20th hijacker Zacarias Moussaoui and former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds who was hired shortly after 9/11 to translate intelligence related to the attacks and says the FBI had information that an attack using airplanes was being planned before Sept. 11, 2001. Rowley reveals one of her fellow FBI agents contacted FBI HQ before Sept. 11 and said Moussaoui was the type that might try to fly a plane into the World Trade Center. [includes rush transcript]

Monica Gabrielle, who lost her husband Richard in the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center, criticizes the Bush administration for mishandling intelligence prior to 9/11 and hampering the 9/11 investigation. [includes rush transcript]
