One point, I'm always bigger than 'we'. The state doesn't own me, I own me and take credit for what I do, as well as take responsiblity of my screw ups. You don't take responsibility for my screwups do you? I take care of me and my family. If everyone did the same then then Obama wouldn't have a platform.

.

Some are less fortunate than me and there are many that are waaay more fortunate.

Being fortunate implies being lucky. I can promise you when GTC gets out of college making the big bucks he wasn't lucky. He busted his ass and now is being rewarded in a field he likes with generous compensation for his abilities. Everyone make a choice, luck isn't part of it.

You guys are putting the cart before the horse. I'm betting if elected he will be just left of center. No more.

I don't need to post in this thread anymore b/c I couldn't possibly put it any better.

And GB, I also agree with your last quote of mine. By fortunate I didn't mean lucky. I meant "better off"....(although some are fortunate in that they are born into wealth...good for them!)

GTC is young and idealistic. When I was 20 and in college, I thought the same way. One trip to Havana shows one all they need to know.

Hey no big deal HAT.

Also, if everyone has the same amount of 'stuff' how does the state pay a doctor vs a farm hand? Is there any difference in pay that the state distributes amongst these two people??

georgia boy, think your missing the point.

idea of marxism is for you to do whatever you want to do. your going to be out there doing a variety of jobs to help the state(yourself). your going to receive a monthly check from the government. jobs would be assigned upon interest and qualifications.

remember, the goal is not to care about money in marxism, the goal is to create a better environment for yourself by improving the people around you.

This "ideology" has FAILED miserably wherever enacted. Cannot and will not work. EVER. Your stupidity and naivety is amazing.

Is another goal to leave its constituents uneducated to the differences of your and you're?

Does a doctor get paid the same amount as a farm hand, or construction worker?

Dude, why are you asking about educated people like doctors?? Don't you know that if we all take care of each other there with be no need for people like doctors, lawyers, or people with skills beyond gardening? Geeze. Talk about stupid...

One of my biggest problems with communism is that it is forced on people.

I would have loved to see a country where they were free to leave, and only those who WANTED to live it stayed. My theory is that they would do just fine, just as there are very many types of government on this earth that do just fine.

What you propose is inherently impossible. You see, those with skills and ambition would flee, and those with no skills and no ambition would stay and very little would get accomplished.
