By expanding to 12 teams, you are inviting a 9-3 Pac-12 champion or a Notre Dame -- teams that pretty clearly don't deserve to play for a national championship at the end of the year

Utah going down, Oregon getting absolutely slapped, Notre Dame being anemic despite OSU playing pretty bad.....do we really want to see those teams get waxed in the playoffs?
Or Ohio St last year..

Coll Football has the worst postseason of any sport. Anything is better than what we have now.. Kinda have to look further out in the future to see how well this would work. Even though I would rather see 8 teams rather than 12 , some years we probably will be glad we do have 12. Nothing stays the same , who knows which teams or conferences will be good and who won't be 5 , 10, 20 years from now.

College football has the best regular season and it’s not even close.

unfortunately it’s also the worst post season and it’s not even close

Could change year to year

But we know that the conferences are going to be as lopsided as ever with all this movement.

SEC is the best and has been, then the Big Ten, then a huge drop off.

There has been a consistent pattern of disparity between the top few teams and the top 10-15ish level teams for quite a while now. I don't think creating more playoff spots is going to change that. The top talent in the country is still going to flock to Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson

I'd love to see an underdog sneak in and shock the world, but hard to see that actually happening. It's just a different sport, and not designed to be equitable like the NFL

GA went thru a 40 year drought before it won again. Clemson wasn't Clemson a few years ago. I can see a number of teams making occasional runs. Alot of programs are still trying to win.. maybe 12 teams gives more teams hope.
Upsets havent happened yet with a 4 team playoff, but it can happen more often even in a 12 team playoff. That would be fun.

Big Ten a little overrated as far as I'm concerned. Alot of those hyped teams last year really fizzled out. Got all those high rankings for no good reason ..Not sure there was a good non conference win all year with those teams..
We'll see how it goes.. New arrangement is better , not great. Hopefully some of these Bowl games get eliminated.. glorified exhibitions is all they are.

The way they have the 12 set up is perfect, can't wait, wish they would have done 16 like FCS

12 teams mean 11 good games and everyone playing compared to these crappy bowl games where the best players sit out 'to prepare for the NFL'

Huge drop off ? I believe the ACC is the 2nd best conference this year, and it's not even close.
I assume you're joking

NC State -- the second highest ranked team in the conference -- by 1 over East Carolina. North Carolina by 2 over App St -- gave up 40 in the 4th quarter alone. Virginia Tech lost to Old Dominion. Pittsburgh -- one of the top teams in the conference -- barely beat West Virignia

BC lost to Rutgers at home

I guess Miami obliterated a junior high team

Clemson is the top team, and they're probably a bit overrated. Their quarterback is absolute trash.

Clemson , NC St, Miami , will be better than every Big Ten team outside of Ohio St. Fla St looks like there on the way back , good win for Pitt , Wake gets their QB back they're a very good team. When we hear nonsense that Nebraska could win their division , that pretty much tells me all I need to hear.
ACC will have more ranked teams at the end of the year than the Big Ten, which will have the usual hype with no substance.

Let's not pick and choose results either. Iowa no TDs against South Dakota. Good lord .lol

Big Ten has been the only conference in recent memory to be in the ballpark with the SEC and even a better a couple of years in the last decade

That's not a good win for Pitt lol come on dude

And I agree with Iowa, but overall Big Ten is absolutely better. Big Ten probably has 5 teams better than NC State at the moment, so doubt all three of those schools are better than any.

FSU barely beats a bad team LSU team and they're on their way back? Come on lol Florida State is garbage

We'll see how the season pans out, but ACC probably will have the usual no hype and no substance

Will everything be neutral site?

I would love to see quarterfinals at least be on better seed's turf. Finally see these southern teams come play in the cold
Too bad all the southern teams will have the home field advantage

Not necessarily. Two loss SEC team in a competitive year as a 5 or 6 seed going up to Columbus or Ann Arbor

Would be a nice change

Why is Clemson ranked #4 lol

They sucked last year and their QB is atrocious — has been his whole time there

I would say Michigan. OSU should be 3
Come on man. Michigan ? Michigan might be a good Big Ten team , nationally a fringe top 20 is pretty much where I see them.
Clemson would crush them. Night and day difference in personel

I don’t think Clemson’s personnel is anything special this season. Looked pretty bad last night. Ran up the score late against a very bad team — that was a 14-10 game in the 3rd quarter
