I was thinking about June Jones recently too. How just dropping his name into the hat of HC possibilities cost Lisa Love
her AD job at ASU -- the final straw. I don't exactly remember the circumstances surrounding his dismissal from SMU
last year when he was replaced after 2 games according to the table at the top of this page.
Anyone remember?

Conan, from what I heard, much of June Jones laziness and the fact that he just stopped caring towards the end came out of the SMU brass not funding the football program like they should to give him the facilities to build a good team. Ever since the death penalty the SMU football program has basically been in shambles, and has never fully recovered. Hopefully the SMU President will start caring a little more about their football program now that they are in the dumps. There's nowhere to go but up. I still like Chad Morris. He is a well respected coach. When Briles was flirting with taking the Texas job, Morris was the number one prospect on Baylor's radar. It wouldn't surprise me to see Morris taking the Texas, OU or Tech job in a few years.
