Not to mention the guy was an authority figure over her that she trusted. She had no way of knowing this thing was gonna turn sexual on her. Maybe if she was a little older and had more life experience, she would have seen some alarming signs before it got to that point. But it's ridiculous to put any blame on the poor girl. This guy is just a sick fuck that abused his power. He should pay for this in a big way.In TOTAL fvckin agreement with Xpanda in Illini.
As I get older I am amazed at how much shit girls put up with when we were younger because of all the fear they had about resisting or telling anyone, it's seriously a mental, paralyzed feeling. I really don't think any of us dudes can relate.
I never understood how these tiny girls stand up to guys trying to rape them in dark alleys late at night. I'm 6'3 215lbs and i'm scared of guys 50lbs later than me in the city late at night.Remember, it's not like there are people around to act as witnesses or to protect her. Sometimes the safest route is to do nothing. (Women are counseled that if a much stronger or armed man is trying to rape you, let him. And that is good advice.)
Sorry guys, but you're wrong if you think the girl is responsible in any way for this. She was in a position of trust, and was completely manipulated by a sick, selfish pervert.
WTF are you talking about? She was raped. Maybe not penis penetration raped, but she was sexually assaulted. You never know how you're going to react, when you are forced into trauma, and you're not qualified to make that judgment of her. The fact that this was her coach and an authority figure is a lot different than her being on a date with a boy her age. She was a victim of a crime here, plain and simple. No one said she was responsible for any of this and no where does it say she was in danger of being raped. I take issue with her saying she didn't know what to do. Most 17 year olds know enough to walk away.
Like I mentioned before, she's a few months away from being 18. She isn't that far removed from being old enough to go out on her own. Most places recognize a person of this age as an adult.

QL if you ask me you are getting a little too hung up on the age thing.
The guy fucking jizzed on her, get real. Is rape limited to penile penetration? Maybe by law definition it is, but this is just about as serious, and could really screw her up. Like I said, the coach had authority over her, she was probably in shock, and when trauma occurs, you cannot predict how you would react. If it was a college coach, it may not be a crime, but it would be an ethics crime, and he would be fired immediately. She's still a kid, and this stuff should never happen. It would be different if she was on a date with a boy her age. She was at her coach's house, and there was no reason for her to believe that anything of this sort was even a remote possiblity until it was actually happening.WTF are YOU talking about? She was not raped. I never said she wasn't a victim of a crime. You and I are talking about two different things here.
Even though she was a victim of a sexual assault I believe she is old enough to make the right decision to get out of there. If she turns 18 and goes to college and her college coach tries the same thing no crime occurs. The only difference is a couple months of age.
