Lmao!! How can a top 10 MBA school graduate be this dumb?? No one is saying that humans have caused an increase in floods and droughts since they inhabited the Earth. They are saying the burning of fossil fuels (which is relatively recent) is causing the Earth to warm because the increase in CO2. They can see that by the melting of glaciers, increase in sea levels, etc. It is not going to flood tomorrow, or the next day, or probably even in 75 years. But if we continue to dump billions and billions of more tons of CO2 in the atmosphere the warming will continue and as it continues, sea levels will continue to rise and temperatures will continue to increase causing droughts throughout the world.
How do you not understand this?
I understand the fossil fuel argument just fine, Land O' Lakes. Except there are several major flaws and assumptions in it. That isn't "settled" science by any stretch.
- Where are the before and after studies which show without a doubt that fossil fuel burning causes the earth to warm? Again, if you're going to state a hypothesis, you need to have definitive proof that the effect will not take place without the cause. So, where is the data? Where? Hello, McFly? Show me! Where...?
- Some glaciers are melting, but others are actually expanding. How can that be explained if the globe is warming as a whole? If you put an ice tray full of water in the freezer, would it make sense for half of the ice to freeze while the other half doesn't?
- Think about how much fuel has been burned up already, then ask yourself how CO2 is only a small trace in the atmosphere (something like 0.035%). How low do you want to go, Cochise? And what evidence exists that we need to go lower? Don't forget that CO2 supports many life forms on the planet...even though the retards at the EPA have classified it as a pollutant. If someone could wave a magic wand and bring it down to zero, that would kill off a number of trees and plants (including many we need for our own survival, unless you plan on eating zero vegetables or fruit for the rest of your life). So, what's the proper level?
- There are other scientists who have theories that the ozone layer is kind of like a human body in the sense that it has the ability to filter out and discharge whatever it finds harmful. In other words, if CO2 became a problem...then yes, the ozone could shit out any excess CO2 back into outer space. Again, just a theory...much like your global warming.
That's just scratching the surface. So, like I said...let's see the before and after data before we can start calling this anything besides a theory.
