Global warming must have missed Pittsburgh.

We had a record low of 51 last night. It was a whopping 64 degrees yesterday and is going up to 70 today (13 degrees below normal).

[h=2]So far the Summer of 2014 is shaping up to be the coldest summer on record in the U.S.A., with temperatures rarely breaking the 90-degree mark.[/h]The latest data averaged from all temperature stations of the Historical Climatology Network shows that this summer has thus far broken the record as the coldest.
Another cold summer with a low frequency of days with recorded temperatures above 90 degrees came back in 1992, the year the atmosphere was coated with ash from the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo. However, going back to the 1880s, only one other summer in the early 1900s rivaled the 1992 and 2014 temperature readings.
According to the data, the average number of 90-degree days has been steadily declining since the 1880s, as well.
This HCN summer record comes on the heels of record cold temperatures in July that haven't been seen since record keeping began in the 1880s. A strong cold front beginning on July 14 swept across the country, bringing below-average temperatures for much of the central and eastern U.S.

Nice steamy 49 degrees last night. Listened to a country station at work today and at least 14 times a coal miners commercial came on bitching about Obama. Hahaha, fucking vote for him again. Dumb fucks got what you deserved.

Update on these lemmings:

[h=1]Sen. Patty Murray provides climate costs talking points[/h]
The memo, obtained by The Washington Post, details how global warming impacts will affect four key sectors of the federal budget: disaster relief; transportation and infrastructure; national security and agriculture.

sort of like aki's "97%" contention. too funny

those hurricanes are really crushing us again this year, Ms Murray :) ... 4 in 4.5 years btw which means the 2010's are on pace for the least # of hurricanes in a decade since they kept track in the 1850's.

try again....

Cold and rainy in Pittsburgh once again. Hey RT, let's get together for a tire burning bonfire fire in my back yard. We can sit under my fake palm tree on my man made beach next to the pool and smoke cigars, sip some ( your choice) booze and get a tire fire tan.

was in the 40's last night in western PA. in august. 40's...

anyway, speaking of humorously incorrect climate predictions from the religious zealots....errr, climate scientists...this one is a beauty:

[h=2]Global Cooling Since 1997 – Worse Than It Seems[/h]Posted on August 15, 2014by stevengoddard
Crack government scientists announced 14 years ago that snow is a thing of the past.
Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past
Monday 20 March 2000
Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.
Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.
Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past – Environment – The Independent
Winter snow cover in the Northern Hemisphere has been rapidly expanding since 1997, and is at record levels. The snow line is moving further south every winter, due to Arctic air intruding further south.
The IPCC predicted the exact opposite

Ah yes, with the "Scientific Consensus on Global Warming" it is too cold to go swimming, people are wearing sweaters & jackets, all during the dog days of summer.

A new study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and led by the University of Wisconsin’s Zhengyu Liu delves into a problem with that pattern—and it’s not what climate models say should have happened.
The researchers used three different global climate models to run a series of computationally intensive simulations spanning the last 21,000 years. The simulations were responding to the orbital change in sunlight and the documented increase in greenhouse gases.
The global average temperature in the models did not peak and decline, however, unlike the Holocene temperature reconstruction. The models show that warming out of the last ice age slowed down markedly around 12,000 years ago, but still continued gradually—temperatures increased by about another 0.5 degrees Celsius before the last couple millennia. That puts the peak of the Holocene reconstruction about 1 degree Celsius higher than the temperatures in the models reach.
So, the models and reconstruction of historic temperatures don't agree.
...
The new paper concludes, “If the [Holocene temperature] reconstruction is correct, it will imply major biases across the current generation of climate models.

These people have no idea what is going on here. It is all a political agenda.

Well, God damn, it may, might, possibly hit 90 degrees one time, late in August, here in Pittsburgh, before the leaves begin to fall. Hope all you wack job Libbies have your fingers crossed.

MP, man made global warming is so yesterday. You see libtard nation has figured out that narrative wasn't working, it was too easy to debunk them and they were being debunked time and time and time and time and time again (not sure if I emphasized time after time after time after time enough, not sure it's possible to do such)

So their new narrative is man made climate change. You see, that way they can never be debunked with absolute certainty. They can always argue that any natural disaster is the result of selfish Americans "consuming to much" (another all time classic, long forgotten because there have been so many all time classics)

It's akin to them arguing "the Constitution was written to be changed". If they didn't say stupid stuff, they wouldn't be talking

you're going to have to step up your game my friend, the only consistency in libtard nation is that libtard idiocy "evolves" consistently

Even though there is no basis for the argument, they will still argue idiotic crap like what you pointed out.

In a real and actual scientific experiment, conclusions can only be drawn when something can be proven with no doubt. If A happens, then B will subsequently happen and so on. For ex, if living creatures which require oxygen are deprived of it, they will eventually suffocate and die. That's a cause and effect fact, and it's easily provable.

"Man-made climate change" is not provable. There is no way to conclude that the Earth would be any different than its current state if no one drove SUVs or had homes which required oil for heating and electricity. Suggesting something like "greenhouse gas emissions really damage the ozone layer!" is nothing more than speculation.
