Don't let one game fool you...yes they played great tonight but Clemson is more mobile and has speed. I'm not sold on Clemson yet but leaning that way depending on what the line does

Has Clemson faced an NFL defense this season? Nope.....

......Well, they are about too.

I think it'll get to at least 9.5, I'm hoping for 10.

WOW... great news hearing about this line... I can't believe it's that high AND climbing... people already overreacting to tonight's blowout? Deshaun Watson is a different kind of playmaker and that's how you beat Bama (with a dynamic/mobile QB)... remember how easily Manziel TORCHED them? At the very least I think I have to grab the points that just seems like way too much value.

Spreading Bama out with a QB that can run may give Bama trouble.

I was was actually surprised at how well Clemson's defense looked today without Lawson. They shut down a very good Oklahoma offense. Bama's O should be a little easier to gameplan for.

Exactly... public perception because of this game. Give me a mobile QB with points any day

Michigan St. with their I formation pro style offense was the perfect match up for Alabama, I think Clemson will be more difficult challenge and without as much time to prepare. I'm not going to be the game and could care less one way or another.

An interesting angle is that Deshaun Watson may have something to prove here, I thought he was the best player and deserved to win the Heisman so maybe he tries to prove that against the Tide? Easier said than done right

An interesting angle here is Dabo Swinney is a former Alabama player and may not want to beat his former team. Plus, he voted for the Alabama RB for Heisman...not his own player because Dabo is from Alabama.

Got to admit Horseshoes...interesting angle even though....Bill Clinton has gone GAY!

This may be the most idiotic post ever. Not saying Clemson will beat Bama but to suggest Dabo may not want to win the national championship as a head coach for his Clemson team because he played at Bama is laughable. Hopefully you were kidding. As for the game, give me Clemson +7 or more for 5 dimes and throw a dime on the ML. If Bama beats us by more than 7 then I will take the 6.5 dime loss like a man.

No dog in the fight but my initial reaction is to take Clemson and the points! I like the way Clemson can spread them out. NFL defense??? Please, they are a good defense but they can be picked on, just not by the likes of Michigan State and many of the teams they have played. Let's face it, Bama hasn't faced an offense like this either. On the flip side, Clemson is going to have a hard time stopping Bama's running game, I could see it wearing them down in the second half. Clemson is going to sell out with speed, and make Bama beat them with the pass. I will take the speed team over Bama with the TD

I like seeing all the love for Clemson. Everyone talking about not letting one game fool you...exactly, don't let Clemson's win
tonight fool you. This Bama defense was built to stop spread teams with mobile qb. Bama basically has two defensive setups....one to stop the smash mouth football and one to stop the spread. Go back and study their games and look at the different lineups and players on field against certain teams and situations. Yes, Bama did struggle with the spread but Saban and Smart have adjusted and now have the players to stop it. The OM game was not a defensive breakdown....5 turnovers and 2 fluke tip passes for TD's was the difference in that game. I like Dabo but Dabo vs. Saban isn't a debate at this point. Bama has the overall best and most talented players and I'm guessing the most prepared come next Monday. RTR!

:ohno:
Never thought of that.

This post wins.

Worst post of the year.

Why would he want to win the National Championship? No one would want that on their resume. The press, the prestige, the accolades.

What about the $100k incentive he has in his contract for winning the National Championship? He would probably rather forfeit that too as he'd rather Alabama win, right?

Mr. Cloverleaf, what you've just written is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

RT what you think about this match up?
said it many times I think Venables is best DC in nation, Kirby 2nd best so I would never be jumping on the over 53.

If Clemson win the title I hope Venables gets the respect he deserves because he had to replace nearly the entire starting XI of 2014. There's only a few other DC's in the nation (Smart, Chavis, Pruitt) that have faced that type of challenge and only one, Smart, has gone on to win a title.

People will keep up the rhetoric of how Bama fails vs mobile QB but this is a completely different defense and system with much more mobile def lineman and a group of DL that could go down as the greatest in the post-scholarship limits era. Watson will probably be the best QB we faced this year but not by a huge margin and certainly no more mobile than Dobbs or Prescott.

I think Bama is the better team but I really believe Venables is best coordinator, Off or Def, in the nation so it'll be a great match between him vs Kiffin.

I'd snag under 53 because it won't get any higher. I had this at 49....
