the yankees, redsox, cubs, and marlins all do not have the best of ballpens....Rivera is the only reliable guy of the 4 teams...
all 4 teams relie on the managers to get through the later innings... all four teams wouldn't be where they are without the managers of the respective teams getting the most out of the pitching staffs....
As an Orioles fan i saw Mike Hargrove's sorry ass take out starters out WAY TOO early...and having the relievers blow the game for us. Jason Johnson pitched his ass off this year and every reliever sucked.
Baker knows his personal better than anyone here...so i would leave him alone for things not to go his way a couple of games. He did alot of things right this year and whereever he goes. He and Gary Sheffield did make some Rush Limbaugh type statements but no one cared. That isn't the point.
I do agree however that Dave Veras was not the best option at that point in time...put in Borowski or Clement/Zambrano.
Its a shame the Cubs lost and the way they did, but don't blame Dusty Baker, blame the Cubs.
