That's not it, it's more of a question of talking to posters who disagree with you in a way that real people talk to each other. I mean who uses the word "perhaps"...or "cursed"? I'm not uneducated, but I can't relate to that. It's as if you are very subtly trying to show your superiority when you post. When I picture you, I picture a guy who's taking a correspondence course in debating sitting there with a thesaurus beside you as you navigate through internet forums.
I am in no way questioning your integrity, scope of sports knowledge, etc.
unclear as to why you would feel the need to point out the latter portion, im not sensitive, i don't take offense to anything you've written here. honesty is refreshing.
i don't know as many of the guys here, so if someone is going to come on and bash me for no reason, i prefer to take the high road. Ive been in plenty of petty e-debates and, while they can be fun, they typically end up being nothing more than a waste of time. What should I have done? gone on and on to buster about how i am not a queer and how i fucked some girl last week? Somehow, I don't think that would have gone over real well. If you know that someones agenda is to rip you, regardless of fact, there is no need to humanize the posting. I simply respond, cordially, and move to the next post. I throw in a bit of sarcasm and hope the thread gets back to the topic. I am here to talk sports, handicapping, and enjoy some time with people who have similar interests. As ive stated, my desires here are modest, but sometimes seem unobtainable.
I work for another site, that doesn't mean i do not enjoy them all; nor does it mean that I do not want everyone to have success with their wagering and whatever else they delve in to.
When you picture me, picture someone who is 28, likes sports, has never owned a thesaurus, goes to the gym a couple times a week, has an unhealthy love of the redskins and vols, and can take any justified criticisms directed his way.
have a great end to your week, PBR.
