FYI...from the same article....

However, it seems that Putera is not going to let Michael go it alone in running the business empire.
Putera has retained the position as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, the highest supervisory board in the company, which gives guidance and direction to management.

I used to smoke those Sampoerna X-tra cloves in college like candy. Never liked cigarettes, but I liked cloves. Still got a pack at home. I remember it was expensive stuff though. :103631605

They certainly went well together (first bud, then good taste of the cloves), but not wise to gut the cloves and stuff. I think I tried that once, didn't work well. The cloves are filtered.

For those keeping score at home the Mansion owner is NOT the richest man in Asia (although he's close) but, according to Forbes, is doing pretty well.

I respect you as a poster, but let's face it. Being a gambler means being a risk-taker. If you choose to gamble for a living or because you seek the thrill of rooting for a team while you munch on some hot wings served by a big-busted hottie... it's your choice to do so.

Let's not be naive: Business is business. The fact that mansion chooses to advertise on the RX does not mean this web site should be held responsible for all the money that you choose to send them as a sponsor. It only means the RX has been successful to market and sell its product; that product is exposure.

This is how I see it. Sportsbook X wants to get players, they pay for an online sponsorship at a web site where players come to get info.

What the player does after getting the info, it's entirely HIS responsibility. His personal responsibility.

The power of a forum resides in the possibilities to openly discuss business. The fact alone that this thread is being offered for you to post your opinion is the very goal of this forum. Hence, the RX has accomplished their mission.

Thr bottom line is this, Noreaga... you're ultimately responsible for managing your funds. You like a book, you play at that book. You don't like a book, don't play at that book. You got no one to blame but yourself if you fail to manage your funds successfully.

I, for once, am thankful for the opportunity given by this forum to openly discuss this topic. I believe listening to feedback from posters like Halifax and D2bets is all you can ask for.

I do not believe Shrink should explain to you why this web site takes on a sponsor. Why does anybody in this industry advertise a book??? Let me tell you... it all boils down to MONEY. And that's no different than any other industry, people are doing business to make a buck... not to replace personal accountability.

Stop whining, girl... you're breaking my fvcking heart...:toothless... Shrink has been kind enough to post what he knows. That's quite a statement unto itself.

Nice post Will, I think he sums it up pretty nicely. You get everything here from free live lines to every contest under the sun, you can't begrudge the site making a nickel here and there on advertising. The expenses got to be paid somehow. Just speaking for me the only time it's a real problem hanging a weak book is when the information starts getting manipulated because of the ad $$$$. If you hang Platinum thats okay with me just don't try to make them sound like a CRIS or Pinnacle in order to send them some players. It's the falsifying of information (or the appearance thereof) after a site receives ad money that causes hard feelings. Since I've never witnessed those sort of shennigansI doubt it's a problem here these days.

Hang any banner you want, like Will says we all should know by now what sort of risk we want to take. As long as the flow of information on these books is still freely exchanged I don't think it's a big deal. The fact recently the RX moved back advertiser complaints to the main forum after receiving input is another good sign this place is trying to do things correctly. Props.

Drunk, you're one of the biggest stiffs in the industry my friend, just because some of us don't run to the forums like a little Grandma to scream about it doesn't mean it isn't well known. First time I heard about your latest problem I didn't say a word, I let guys like you run your mouth, I tend to stay out of those things that don't concern me. You've proven to be nothing but a pathetic little man who trys to bully people over the internet, by screaming about others you hope people won't know about you and your stiff jobs. They may not know on the forums but in the real world all of us connected to the industry know about you. Even MW had a story about you recently, LOL.

How's ASAP coming along? Oh that's right, if not for CRIS it would be another stiff job from you. Now be gone, go get in someone else's business and talk about stuff you have no idea about. Obviously you are trying to impress someone with this nonsense, I don't have time for it.

this place is trying to do things correctly

Yes Sir, we are. Mistakes will happen though.

We try hard and this team currently is hard to beat.

As for Mansion, I am not afraid to play there, but I will not over-expose my cash there, nor Oly, nor Pinny, nor Cris.

Hey Pat;

Props.

I agree with you. We should never forget there's really not ONE single website that can be called a true watchdog in this industry. An advertiser is just that, an advertiser. Some web sites do better than others when it comes to telling their truth, but in the end there's no absolute truth.

As long as there's free exchange of information regarding a sportsbook, sponsor or not, the player should be able to read and form his own opinion. The best a player can do is make an educated choice.

Noreaga;

Walk of life,

No The RX cannot be responsible for what a sponsor does... but they can be responsible for which books they allow on board. Thats just my take. I know better than to just blindly send money to a sportsbook because they have a banner somewhere.. but I promise there are people totally new to the offshore world that will see this site, and will blindly send money to books up top.

Point well taken. I share that vision with you, but it's not savvy to tell people how to run their business. It's like telling a man how to hold his cock when pissing... that's just private business. Now, if you have good info and somewhat a more educated opinion, then share it with other players... but your initial posts seemed to be bitter. Maybe I was wrong.

Will,

how did working at SBR turn out for you? Have you tried crawling back to Hollywood yet ?

thanks.

I always try and learn from my life experiences. SBR was a very exciting time for me at the beginning. I met people I treasure as friends now. I believe the team I was leading was very successful achieving what we were brought in to do... Before we were all hired, the site was a one-man operation, check it out:

When we implemented the first stages of our frameworks, the site looked like this: and all along the powerful SBR concept and essence were preserved and evolved.

John and I had a premium channel of communication.

I left cause I grew up in ways that took me on a different road... SBR continues to be a good company, but i reckon it might need the input of an innovative strategist soon.

As for Hollywood, I didn't even try to come back. My time with Hollywood was a a great time and I remain friends with the gentlemen behind the operation. They all taught me and helped me a lot and I respect them a whole lot, as they're honorable and down-to-earth people.

:suomi:

Peace out, Noreaga.

I promise I won't call you girl again... or fruity... or punkin... :biglaugh:

Me keep writing? You're the one that insisted we do this, you follow me around like a lost puppy always there hoping I will notice you. If I have time I don't mind playing along to give you your moment of sunshine. Let me guess how this will go on and on, as I destruct you with nothing but the truth you will call me a stiff over and over so you will get an attaboy or two from a couple of McIrish haters. Anything I guess so a couple of your pals can see you playing forum badass again huh? What's funny is you love to stick your nose in other people's business but cried like a little p u s s y when others responded to you when you were trying to extort WSC last week. Pretty funny stuff and very indicative of you and your style. You agree to a deal with the book, they are paying you every single day through NT without a fee as agreed upon, and then you start a thread "wondering" if players could really get paid there. When Roberto and others call you out on it then you get outraged that others dare get involved in your business. LOL. Sort of like you are involved in mine huh? You have been completely obsessed with me for over the last year and none of it has concerned you at all. You're a one way Charley, you like to dish out your elementary level crap to others but whine like a little b i t c h when you get some incoming. Frankly you bore me to tears. And by the way just about every reputable player there is told you that you were full of bullshit the way you handled the WSC fiasco last week. The book made a mistake of trying to treat you like a man and as you always do you tried to show out here in the forums like you were some kind of bigshot.

As for ASAP, knock it off. Yes they are as good as gold right now but that's in spite of you. It was over and you couldn't pay anyone, the ONLY reason it is here today is because it got bailed out and you are not affiliated with them any longer. I am sure Rick and others with good names wonder to this day why they first got involved with you on the deal. Funniest part of all that was you running around attacking everyone who was trying to warn the players about the problems the book was having. I guess your plan was to use incoming deposits to pay withdrawals and hope to hang on like the other under financed internet books have done that went bad. Sadly enough you used one little pathetic site to your advantage in all that trying to cover up good information that was coming out. Since you have given a couple of them some small credit acounts with a dime or two settle you were able to intimidate them in helping you try to cover up the mess you had brewing at ASAP. How am I doing Brian? Pretty close aren't I? Again, me you and everyone else in the world knows the only reason the players weren't left hanging out to dry is because of the boys at CRIS. Had it been left to you there would a bunch more of people added to your stiff list and you wouldn't have thought twice about it. That's the kind of guy you are. In life there is two types of people. Those who try and excel on their own and make a name for themselves through superior performance, and then there's the guys like you. Guys who figure if you tear everyone else around you down to the level you are at so no one else will notice what a piece of s h i t you are.

Lastly, as for making a wager with you, you must be joking. You haven't made a bet of your own since Moby Dick was a minnow. Your frantic hysterics last week to get your money out of WSC was because once again you owed people, the 10% or so that was actually yours in the account there was all you had. Geez man, you acted like a freaked out rookie over that money. No one around is known for more slowpays then you son, just because I don't speak about all your problems didn't mean I don't know about them. Like I said I didn't care enough about you to waste my time trying to run you down in the forums, I don't need to do that to feel superior. When allowed I tend to stick to my own business if something doesn't concern me. Anyway though I have a few minutes tonight don't expect me to always play this little silly game with you, frankly your type bores me to tears. You go way out of the way to start crap with someone who hasn't said a word to you but will be crying like the only single woman at a Greg Louganis stag party. Any minute now according to your history you will begin to whine about how dare I respond to you like this. Pretty sad but just like the others at that crap site you post at, all this drama just so you can show others what a badass you are by getting in the middle of something that's none of your business. Let's get one thing straight son before I am done here, the next time you raise a hand to me it better be to ask a question. Got it? Have your husband contact me if you have any more questions.

I couldn't agree more. I usually ignore him but had a little time tonight to kill. It does get old but this is his way to receive some positive feedback from others. Until I finally answer he will keep hounding me from site to site. You can see here the thread was right on track until he comes in with his same old stuff.

I don't mind actually, I like to run smack in the appropriate forums. Especially with a guy like this with the kind of history he does. Forum people may not know all about him but I do. I find it's always those who talk the most about others that are trying to take the onus of themselves.
