CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2007 / 2008 YTD: 7W-5L-2T (+7.92 units)
Three things you should not be deceived about the YTD totals:
A- Above record is not a misprint.
B- I'm probably going to lose it all by end of Wednesday.
C- If "B" is not convincing enough, please procede to 2006/2007 YTD results.
Nonetheless,
For Tuesday "Lose your shirt in Champions League play" I like the following:
Sporting Lisbon at DYNAMO KIEV
DYNAMO KIEV pk and -0.5 -121 (3 units)
OVER 2 and 2.5 +106 (1.5 units)
Sporting 2 DYNAMO KIEV 1
FC Barcelona at VfB STUTTGARD
VfB STUTTGARD +0.5 +109 (2 units)
FC Barcelona 2 VFB STUTTGARD 0
Fenerbahce at CSKA MOSCOW
Fenerbahce +0.5 -112 (3.5 units)
CSKA MOSCOW 2 Fenerbahce 2
I'll deal with the Roma crucible when the time comes. Don't think Roma +0.5 and -1 -125 is a valid number. Maybe line suggests last year's Man U home massacre of Roma revealed huge mismatch at the positional level. Frankly, after having watched that matched (3x), it was obvious Man U would have beaten anyone by the same score. Every scoring shot they took was labeled for the back of the net. Hard struck balls that usually sail from long distance, stayed low enough to hug the corner. It does not matter what Inter Milan vs Roma on Saturday will produce, both of these are deep enough for potential victory. Inter has injury concerns on the defensive side, but overall are still the best team in the A league. Roma: Maybe the best counter attacking midfield in the "A" that I have seen in the last five years, and the attacking core ain't too shabby either. Playing Man U with 4-5-1 first half, and switching to 4-4-2 second half could bring unexpected results. Don't think any substantial "yellow" or "red" is in the works (or game changing factor), as these two will basically love tap each other.
good luck,
MA
