Congrats to all Ham-Sask. :toast: Under backers, lost the first game of the year on Ottawa in EDM and its been lucky 13-0 since. The thread stays alive another week and the roll continues, might as well enjoy it while it lasts.

Once again, you've proven to be the premier CFL betting advisor in the world. I know you were hemming and hawing on the CFL games when I talked to you on Friday, but you came up with another winner. Good work!

Sharky... just don't tell me that you're on the Renegades tonight... I've heard all about these other "sharps" on the Renegades, and I have turned around and made the Eskimos my biggest play of the year to date and one I'm very comfortable with for the reasons stated in my thread....

Regardless, best of luck to you. Looking forward to your selections for the weekend.

I am also quite curious which way Sharky is going on this game. From TSN.ca today:

The Eskimos are tops in the CFL against the pass (165.8 yards per game) and second against the run (58 yards) to stand first overall in total yards surrendered (198). The unit also leads the league with 16 sacks, and that's despite veteran rush end Joe Montford, three times the CFL's top defensive player, having registered just one so far.

The Renegades are ranked eighth in total yards (401 per game) and last in both passing yards allowed (324 per game) and points surrendered (30.5 per game).

Edmonton's offence leads the CFL in points scored (101) and is second in total yards (397.8 per game). But the unit had its troubles last week against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (0-4). Quarterback Ricky Ray was intercepted three times and lost two fumbles before hitting Derrell Mitchell with a late completion that set up Sean Fleming's field goal that earned the Eskimos a 14-12 win.

Ray remains the CFL's passing leader with 1,421 yards and is tied for second in TD strikes with six. Edmonton's aerial attack is the league's best, averaging 355 yards per game.

But the Eskimos aren't a prolific rushing team. The offence is averaging just 68.5 yards per game on the ground and the team's leading rusher is Mike Bradley with 76 yards.

Good luck everyone!

The fact that they can't run the ball is meaningless in my eyes in this one, as the Ottawa secondary is lousy... hopefully Ricky Ray can exploit this one tonight and lead the Eskimos to another blowout win over the Renegades, further validating their spot as a premier team in the CFL instead of letting an iffy outsider team into the possible elite status.

I too have my money on the Eskimos, 1st half also. But only because I'm expecting Ottawa to lose that pseudo momentum. On paper, this should be a mismatch. Lines are tight because of the Renegades sudden offense prowess. I just cannot believe it could last.

I might add that Ottawa has done it a few times in the past against Montreal... and that the Stamps are still in pre-season.

Been looking for the offenses to start taking over some of these CFL games, most that have been high scoring so far have had big plays(Defensive TDs, punt reurns for TDs). I'm looking for both offenses to flourish tonight. Other than BC, I believe these two have the best offenses in the league(yes better than MTL). Edm will definitely bounce back from a poor performance, Ray and the receiveing should have big nights. Joseph is a dangerous weapon with his arm and legs for Ottawa and when that doesn't work he's got Josh Ranek. I don't bet overs often but the CFL sees it's share of shootouts every year and if both sides get any kind of Oline protection(not like Ott got in EDM to start the year) tonight this one goes over the total.
