Spartans are running the ball easily. The scrimmage line is a kids vs men game.

They successfully converted an onside kick with 31-0. Mr Clappy (Brennan) wants a blowout to maintain his job.

Alabama defense started solid but they showed multiple miscues in the 2nd half. Missed tackles, lack of pressure, poor coverage. Saban won't be happy for sure.

Jalen Milroe has HUGE problems reading defenses and throwing into tight windows. He runs well and escapes from the pocket easily, but that's not enough to win this kind of game.

On the other side, Quinn Ewers looked great. The defense is awesome, Anthony Hill is a beast. They did the heck of an impressive performance.

Something more to add: Texas D was fresher during the game thanks to a frequent rotation, especially in the line.

  • Cin/Pitt: I underestimated Bearcats D, it's really strong. Panthers OLine didn't help Jurkovec who was sacked 5 times and pressured most part of the time. He played batter in 4Q with Bearcats front4 tired. Bearcats rushing off worked like a charm.
  • Va. Tech/Purdue: The Hokies had a slow start (17-0 down in Q2), then tied the game. Both defenses got established but Purdue found a way to score in Q4. Grant Wells struggled to be consistent. He threw 16 completions out of 40 attempts while the rushing offense just ran 22 times for 11 yards. Think I overvalued the Hokies last week.
  • Wisky/Wazzou: I'm very disappointed with the Badgers. They have more talent than the Cougars and were outperformed at all levels. With better ball protection this game would have been much different.
  • FCS Idaho Vandals won against Nevada 33-6. The Wolfpack should be the underdog in all remaining games of this season.
  • Tulane is still a team to follow despite the home loss against Ole Miss.
  • Houston/Rice: The Owls won in OT. Cougars D is really bad, This is a team that should be the underdog in all B12 games. JT Daniels was very comfortable for most part of the game.
  • Had an eye on EMU/Minnesota: EMU should be a team to back at some point. They have a good D that should help them win some MAC games. QB play is a concern.
  • Auburn/Cal: Contest between two powerful defenses. It could go either way. Auburn will have a shot to enter the top25. Offenses were terrible; 7 total turnovers. Bears' kicker missed 3 FGs. I still think this team can be relevant in Pac12 if they avoid these mistakes.
It's been a bad CFB week overall (4-7) but we're still learning about these teams. Looking for improving these numbers in the coming weeks

CFB season so far: 11-17.
