Maryland +2 an NIT team vs Maryland who is somehow flying under the radar. Wrong team favored and Maryland is road tested.
Creighton +6.5 no revenge for poor butler as creighton gets a road win and shuts up the sports writers about how creighton is finished without their stud pg

Yeah Maddog amazing is how I came up with this pick. Everybody was on Georgia st. All my research went that way as well. When I see a perponderous of evidence that way, I'll go contrarian which is exactly what I did

lucky pick....Ga st missed 20+ FT...better to be lucky than good sometimes

Creighton looked like a potential FF team with Watson, and have lost two of three without him. I'd say they are finished in terms of being a legitimate FF threat.

I should add that I have no opinion on your Creighton bet tonight, GL and I hope you win it. Watson was looking like one of the best, if not the best PG in the game when he blew out the knee. Really a shame for him and the Bluejays. With him in the lineup, I would definitely have wanted some futures action on them.

It's ironic that Xavier has now lost its PG to a knee injury, after Creighton lost Watson at X. Sumner was probably about as important to X as Watson was to Creighton, but I think Creighton had the higher ceiling.

I was looking at MD last night before I went to bed. Totally agree with your analysis. I have been watching them recently and they have a great conference record. The only down-side is all of their conference games have been against sub-.500 teams but OSU is in that same group.

CRE did take a major blow with the loss of Watson and they have had to experiment with various players to replace him (Zierden, Mintz, Clement). The HC seems to feel Clement is now the best player for the job so if they have settled into a full-time replacement (something to watch for tonight) they may be able to start regaining some of their prior strength - but as a previous poster said, they probably are finished as a FF threat. Both have recently lost to GTWN and beat DEP... I'm not sure that means anything.

I got MD +2.5 and CRE +8. I did follow your CRE ML bet (+318) but just put half a unit on it.

I am interesting in your thoughts on the WVU -3 vs ISU game. I an leaning WVU but they seem to be a bit of a mystery (will they show up or not) on the road.

Good thoughts.

Adding

West Virginia -3. Iowa st giving up 80 ppg while west Virginia one of the most potent offenses. West Virginia wins easy. I'll make it a play since I researched it and feel very confident

Wv should dominate the paint and rebs. Iowa st will need 13+ 3s to keep a game, like the play
