The medical exemptions are available for those who can have a doctor testify that excessive exposure to sunlight can be harmful to their skin and/or eyesight.
Which means they are unable to interact properly in sunlight because they are unable to handle the brightness.

So the Florida public is at an increased risk of being mown down by a 4x4 because florida has laws allowing light sensitive people to roam around florida who are unable to cope with the environmental conditions that prevail in florida.

So if people are unable to cope with snow and ice conditions should they be given the same exemptions?

Deaf and crippled people too?

What about mental retards who can't actually drive, but they have a lot of money, should we let them drive cars as well?

So road safety is compromised to accomodate people who can't handle sunlight.

Kewl

What about if you can't handle mexicans cubans or black people, any exemptions?

We allow UK immigrants to drive with a special exemption note on their DL

Nah, usually it's a late 80s/early 90s GM or Ford sedan

Most people in Florida are over 60 years old anyway so it doesn't matter if they get run over.

My back window is tinted with grey film but not the rest of it.... I dont blame the cops for not liking tint though...Pull somebody over & not know if somebody is pointing a gun at you or not on the walk up.

Really good to conceal cell phone use (if they try to outlaw it here), doobie use and of course lack of seatbelt (if I choose not to have it buckled)

someone that was recently in NYC told me they got motorbike cops out giving out 200 dollar fines for the cell phone violations

The odds of a citizen pointing a gun at a police officer during a traffic stop are so incredibly remote that I doubt that's a concern at all.

They're far more interested in detecting something illegal - like open alcohol containers and/or illicit drugs

I can understand that...Its hard to drive in NYC with both hands on the wheel let alone talking on a cell phone.

I usually agree with you but this is completely not true. Safety is always first.

As far as the seat belt law. A question I don't know the answer to. If you are in an accident which is 100% your fault, shouldn't you be liable for all the injuries as a result of that accident? If so, I would hope the other party had a seat belt on.

Never understood why you can ride a motorcycle with no seat belt( not like they make them just an example) and in some states no helmet but you have to wear a seatbelt inside a 1 ton automobile.

An increasing percentage of passenger vehicles sold in the USA come replete with dual front and side air bags that make seatbelts almost superfluous
