Kojak - I'm sure the Cubs will be making moves too. That team is built for this year. Remember, the Cubs were .500 at the Break last year.

Guys, let Kokak enjoy his team's success so far. I just wonder if Carpenter's start yesterday was a harbinger of things to come. I mean Carpenter, Suppan and Marquis have pitched over their heads IMO and may come crashing back to earth. We'll see. On the flipside, the Cubs had a worse record at the break last year. It was Prior and Wood going something like 18-3 in the 2nd half that propelled them. Especially being rested, those guys are 2nd half pitchers, as Maddux is also likely to be. Plus, Sammy is just starting to warm up and Cubs may get back a major league shortstop soon and we won't have to see Ordonez cany more. 7 games is a lot to make up though so I'd give STL a better than 50% shot of hanging on to the division with the Cubs likely taking the WC. I'd guess STL edges the Cubs out 95 wins to 93.

Should be interesting.
