Do you always assume the rookies are going to play bad right out of the gate in pre-season games? The reason I ask is during the regular season I like to back a team that has a rookie quarterback making his first start. I have learned it's better to assume backups will play well, rather then poorly. Again, that's my philosophy during the regular season.
