JDOG, did you do an analysis on that nfl thing. Maybe just played last year as well. Interested as I just got some data on nfl as was going to look into that exact thing. If someone has already done it I sure as hell won't.

I believe this to be a carry over from buckets. I did a heck of a lot of work on those cbb totals as well as nba. My guess is it would work better in football college than nfl but don't know as have not checked the numbers.

ctp - two heads are better than one. I'll take at peak at it myself.

pops, i'd be shocked to see the eagles going off at -3, already on the panthers as they seem farther along in the camp thus far. from reading and listening to all reports seems the coach and a few players are looking over their shoulders, always good to motivate the overpaid and underachieving crowd.

i might add i expect to see considerable improvement from david carr as difficult to believe as that may seem.

I was looking at the pivot for line moves and holly numbers under the Pops tab. Could someone explain what the numbers 1-4 on left signify. That looks like one pivot table a person could really get lost in.

I think it is the Holy number, not 100% sure of it.

That was my first guess but more than 4 holly numbers

I dont think it holly numbers; its a range of the plus or minus avg scoring when compared to the opening line. You can look in the al + nl combined tab and see the formula.

Thanks that makes more sense. I must have read something into a previous post. I thought it was implied that a pivot was made up to look at holly in regards to N and A also line moves. Right barn wrong stanchion.

I got confused imagine that. Recently there was a thread either by Pops or Oil that a new pivot table was added. I thought it dealt with holly numbers and line moves associated with N or A. Someone else thought it was average scoring. The one I want is holly?

no it the POPS pivot and that based on the P (Plus) or M (minus) avg scoring off the wa nps as well as what posted in the thread summary vs the OL, than LM vs each one of those numbers

those numbers will not change because of ump and based on home/away, day/night and L/R. all about avg scoring and the OL. they make the line based on pitchers era's and whips vs scoring, and were looking at scoring OL and LM

Pops,
am still not making any sense of what the 1,2, 3 and 4 stand for in the new Pops chart. I understand everything about the table except for what those 4 numbers are referring to.
thanks
