This is what happened
I have had my canbet account sitting there, havent used it since last nba season.. in the meantime canbet move their whole operation to the uk.. i receive no email advising me of such move.. i find out by going into the website and finding out all their banking details have een changed for clients to deposit money into their account.. i wish to deposit some of my roll into my canbet account for upcoming nba season, bases grids ect.. i email them to see i have correct details and everything.. its all good
i go to the bank to make a transfer from my account to their account, i receive alot static from my bank regarding converting to pound ect charges.. whatever they send to correct account, takes 4 days for me to find out my money has been rejected by their bank, saying that account does not exist
i then verify this with canbet and my bank to make sure they have the correct details, everything is fine and correct... i spent $10 dollers AUD ringing canbet for a 5 min call before that and was on hold for a majority of time before i was then disconected(run out of credit)no toll free number to talk to their clients about any issues or problems?!
i am told by canbet this has happened before and that its my banks fault for doing the transfer incorrectly.. this maybe the case.. im not mad at my bank cause this may have been what happened.. what im saying is how come my bank cant talk to their bank(and vica versa)while im actually in my bank so that they can actually find out where they have gone wrong? dont just make someone wait 4 days thinking the money is going to be cleared and tell them its rejected because my bank made a mistake, one simple phone call could have prevented all of this.. time restrictions or whatever blah blah different timezones ect.. i have heard it all, the real reason is the way canbet have set up their deposits for clients(in australia is a joke) the way they treat their clients is a joke! the way the communicate with people is a joke.. i had to talk to maybe 3 different people yesterday via email at canbet(prolly cause no-one wanted to hear it)i found them to be very stand offish, and to the point of we have done nothing wrong?! are they on drugs? how can they possibly not be partly responsible for this.? Instead all they wanted to do is say my bank is at fault... no one wants to look at themselfs all they wana do is pass the buck, and blame someone else.. its not good enough and im sick of it!
canbet are creditable with the odds they offer punters, im not saying otherwise, i just feel(well for people who dont have direct contact with them)they are making it too hard for clients to have access to their account, which in the end, if they dont do anything about it will hurt them.. i dont think this worries them too much(specially to a small investor like me) but if they treat people different i dont expect their little uk venture to be too successful.. its all about communication.. like i am communicating with all of you now! how hard is it these days to keep a customer happy? how hard is it to set up a system where everything runs smoothly? thats what im on about.. i dont care if canbet have better odds! i dont care if they do this and that! if they cant communicate with people none of this will matter because they will have less and less people to offer them odds too. good business sense is a must.. they are trying to be competive with other books.. why do this to someone.. do they really care? i would say no

I believe by law they are/were prohibited from offering 2nd H lines to Australians as part of their australian licencing.
actually they cant offer them to anyone whos i.d. they havent verified. im not sure about the aussies but i couldnt play them from here(usa) till i faxed them my info.
and i soon as i got that straight they cut my limits.they may be great but personally im doing much better with betworks.

this industry doesn't need agenda driven posts like this. i realise that most people recognise that it is but for the ever evolving newbies that the safe, quality bookmakers deserve, get turned away. in turn books reduce limits, betting opportunities and raise their juice.
