Laying under 7 seems fair for P-St

Line should be Wisconsin -3/3.5. Wisconsin would cover that line too most likely. These teams are probably dead even, so no way should Penn St be a road favorite. They haven't beat anyone that impresses me yet. Wisky playing tight with Ohio St impresses me more than any game Penn St has had.

Wisconsin +5 is the best play of the week imo.

penn state destroyed wisky last year in happy valley, but playing away from home has been a problem with psu in the past, IF joe doesnt bottle up the offense like he tends to do on the road then this wont even be a game midway through the 3rd quarter, if he doesnt, it could be very close

i personally would stay away from this game but i also believe that psu wins big (not confident enough to put $ on it though, would rather enjoy the game)

my prediction:

PSU - 34
Wisky - 20

hopefully this thread can stay towards the top pages and i can come back and see if my prediction is right on saturday night!!!

this psu team is for real, their offense is going to be tough to stop, it will be up to JoePa if he is going to release the hounds or keep it close to the vest, if he releases the hounds then the score could be around what i am predicting, if he doesnt, could be more of a 17-14 type game...im thinking he releases the hounds :drink:

Joe does not call the plays. If the dogs are going to be released it will not be of his doing. If the dogs are held tight it will not be of his doing. He is not involved in the game day play calling.

I would wish you BOL, but I've decided on PSU in this one. PSU's offense is more than Wisky can handle, and PSU's D can stop Wisky.

Hope you win the rest of your plays...just not this one:nohead:

in a way you are correct, HOWEVER, believe me when i say, Joe has EVERYTHING to do with what plays will be called prior to the game even being played, the game plans are brought to him and he approves stuff and denies stuff, if he wants to release the hounds than a aggressive approach will be approved by him allowing his coaches to call certain plays, if he wants to bottle it up, the aggressive plays will not be allowed in the game plan

quick story, and you can believe me or you dont have to but this is 100% the truth:

last year penn state travelled to michigan with a blueprint on how to beat them, psu had a very aggressive gameplan and had the offensive plan to spread the field and put up serious points against the wolverines.....the EARLY hours of that saturday morning, joe called a staff meeting and scrapped the gameplan, he wanted to be more conservative... the rest of the coaches were furious because 75% of the plays that were going to be used we no longer in the gameplan

even players came out in the papers and said that they dont know what happened that they didnt run half of the plays that they practiced all week

so saying joe has nothing to do with the plays that are being called is 100% false

Can Wisky Slow Down PSU?

I would think so...it not only should slow them down but cause them to make mistakes, stumble, forget plays, and maybe even fall flat on the field on their face

Penn Sate is THE PLAY Here!

Penn State will cover this impost. Current price at The Greek = -5.5.

This year's PSU club is very special. They are playing their hearts out for Joe Pa, who looks like he's on his last legs. Home or away. They are extremely focused.

Cliche yes, but they want to "win one for the Gipper," Gipper her being JOE PA! :aktion033:pope:

Who were the teams they went 12-0 ATS against? :think2:

That's the more important question, IMO.

They did in 2000 and then in 2002 they lost Back to Back to Back at home with a road win in between...So actually they can.

NIU, HAW, GEORGIA, MICHIGAN STATE (3 TIMES), MINNESOTA (TWICE), MICHIGAN, PENN STATE, IOWA, OHIO STATE. That's 12 since 2000.

ohio state was unbeaten, psu had 1 loss.

cheers

Sorry the way i phrased my comment was wrong you are right. I believe you are dead on. He does approve or disapprove what the game plan will be. I was just tryin to say game day he does not call a play on 3rd and 10 or 2cd and 1. Thats what i was trying to get across. But you are right and hopefully he does let the dogs loose. I go to PSU and would love to see us take one out in Wisky but in my opinion this line is off and I really think this is going to be a stuggle for us out in Madison. I see a really tight game but I think its a fg win one way or the other so for me its Wisky or nothing

I love the home team getting a field goal in this match up. Home team has rolled the last 4 years...

Penn State players will play their hearts out for Joe Pa! They all know this could be his last season since his health is a concern. They want to send him out a WINNER! They are a fine tuned machine now. They will NOT overlook Wisky!

WIN ONE FOR "THE GIPPER!" :aktion033

Wow, a homer post by lionking. What are the odds?

Have you ever thought your team was going to lose?

i will admit i am a homer, however i will also admit that even tho that is my "prediction" or some may call it a "guess" i will also say i would not bet this game, did i not put that in my post?? i thought that i did

i could definately say that this game could go either way, i am nervous about wisky on the road and especially at night, i am more nervous that they lost to ohio state last week and michigan the week before, this team is much better than its record indicates

saying that, did illinois stop psu on offense at all a couple weeks back?:think2:

anyways

if i was picking a homer pick i would be shouting for everyone on the board to hammer psu...which is not even remotely the case here, i would actually tell people to stay away from this game because 3 weeks ago you could have got it in a future at wisky -2 or 3.....do i think psu is going to win, like i said IF they keep an aggresive approach on offense then yes i think they will win and could win big, IF they dont... they could still win but it will be a very very close game, i am excited to watch saturday night, should be a good one
