I say no because I know what he is capable of.

However.

A famous man told me when this shit went down with his current ex-wife that Woods was finished from that point on.. So far that has held up to be true. Can't believe it.

Tiger is discovering the ugly truth about being a pompous ass. You meet the same people going up the ladder as you do going down the ladder.

I remember back in 2011 people were saying the same thing. Some even said he should retire because his game was so bad. The next 2 years he won 8 tournaments(more than anyone in last 4 years by the way except for Rory who has won 9.). Now, I'm not saying he will come back and win 8 tournaments again the next 2 years but he did just that after a similar slump in 2010-2011. He will never get back to where he was but I believe he be competitive again and win more tournaments.

Back in the day almost every wager on Federer and Woods was a winner (big chalk, but winners nonetheless).

Now that is seldom the case

in the twilight of his career at age 33, Federer W/L numbers;

2014; 75-12 86%

2015; 33-6 85% (he's in the Finals at Germany this week)

not bad, eh?.......:)

Last year Tigers problem was physical.
This year it's mental.

I think starting next season once he gets his swing back he will be the best in the world again for a few more years.

Woods has won 79 official PGA Tour events, second only to Sam Snead, and six ahead of Jack Nicklaus with 73 wins.
Woods has won 14 majors, second all time
Woods has the lowest career scoring average in PGA Tour history.
Woods has amassed the most career earnings of any player in PGA Tour history
Woods set the all-time record for most consecutive cuts made, with 142. Many consider this to be one of the most remarkable golf accomplishments of all time, given the margin by which he broke the old record and given that during the streak, the next longest streak by any other player was usually only in the 10s or 20s.
Woods has won a record 26.2% (79 out of 301) of his professional starts on the PGA Tour.

Given the above information consider what you have accomplished in your career.

Still want to call Woods a bum? :think2:

I'm a huge Tiger fan - only a fool would call him a bum - at the same time - it's time to call it quits

nah. If he's healthy and remains passionate he can turn it around. Clearly the swing is fucked. He's looking for a 'go to' shot and has fallen in love with the high fade. He's got to hook up with a swing coach and set a new plan. He has zero confidence and its spilling over-- even to his short game.

i don't believe he's done. He's a winner. But he's got to get that swing figured out, with it, noise between the ears WILL dial down.

gl to him

He just needs a slump-buster. He should head over to his local Perkins.

I don't totally agree with this but we are definitely on the same page. His issues are mostly mental although his game is obviously not 100% right now. I'm not sure he will ever get back to being the best in the world though. Too many good players out there now for him to get back to #1. The game of golf is 15% physical and 85% mental. Right now Tiger is lucky if he has 40% of his mental game out there.

Not bad... but I was thinking 2007-08ish.

Guy was a beast, now any of the top 10 players can beat him on a good day. Before, only Nadal posed a threat.
