Herb Dean should have stood up the fighters multiple times in the first round! Khabib didn't do anything significant in round one. Over 4 minutes of relative inaction.

He's not gonna stand up a fight in mount position, sorry. Especially when they have wrist control and punching too.

What Herb Dean should've done is take a point, or at least warn Conor for the 3 glove grabs that were right in his face, the shorts grab (you can only grab your own shorts, not the opponents) that stopped a takedown, and the illegal knee while they were on the ground position you speak of...

He didn't have full mount, both knees were not past Conors hips, and it's been done many times before, standing inactive fighter in the mount position. And yes more evidence of a terrible job done by Dean. Don't know how he couldn't see the shorts and glove grab.
