I think the biggest factor in favor of Bama is the size of Utah's DL - or lack of it. Even without Smith, I think Bama will be a very effective running team, controlling the clock with long drives and scoring regularly.

I really like Utah, but Bama's DL will crush Utah's ability to run and I'm just not convinced that Brian Johnson can carry Utah against the Tide.

I like the under in this game as well.

24-10 or 31-14 are very possible final scores IMO.

Beat better teams than Utah and played Florida tough.

I think Utah will cover in a low scoring game, but I could see a blowout if they get their running game working early.

Actualy, I think it will work late. Bama 27-17

2 overrated teams here. TCU better than Utah. Mississippi better than Alabama.

Railbird you are crazy. There is nothing overrated about Alabama and I dislike them as much as anyone short of Auburn fans.

Ole Miss is good, but I think Bama offers a little more. I was in Atlanta for the SECCG and that was one hell of a team I saw in the Dome. Even though they didn't win, it's no reason to reflect poorly on them. Very tough and physical bunch with tremendous size that will end up being too much for Utah in the end IMO. The Smith suspension may actually play in Bama's favor now as well with players that may have been taking this lightly changing their tune and becoming much more serious.

ill be on utah if the line gets bigger then itll be bigger, but i think there is something of note no one is talking about. alabama is only -3 on the powerline ratings, now of course i bet most of you would say why would that matter, it does matter to me at least because that says that they are actually somewhat in the same league as alabama! i find that this little power rating tends to work better when a smaller school goes against a bigger school that they dont belong against, in fact i rarely look at them except in these instances. i believe oklahoma was only -1 when they went against boise 2 years ago. add in the fact of a big OL injury for bama with the fact that motivation may be lacking a bit, plus the fact that they are not really a blowout team anyways along with the fact they let teams back in the 2nd half a lot (and if its bad utah will be trying to make it look close ala penn st for sure!) i gotta go with utah i would much rather have seen tcu play bama though in this game.

one more thing on the powerlines its a different sport but when davidson was making their run last year they were -1 vs georgetown +1 vs wisconsin and +3 vs kansas on these things and got 3 covers in these games, i know thats a different sport but i find this little tool works a lot.

Good call...............I honestly didn't think they had a chance and had to pay for it accordingly.

I know your post was well intended. Dont like your first statement that I am crazy. When someone has original thought, society label the person.
