How am I hating on the USA? I have nothing against them, some of my best friends are American. The relay statement was a fact, not a knock on the Americans. They did great, but what I said was true and any person watching that could tell.

USA wasn't supposed to medal is all I said. That was the truth. Why do you think they were so damn happy after their final routine? It was because they knew they did an amazing job and got themselves a medal. China and Japan were rated far ahead of everyone, and everybody knew China was going to dominate this event. That wasn't a knock on the USA, not sure how you took it that was.

Also I never once claim Canada is a power country at the Olympics. I personally couldn't care less. I knew we aren't as strong athletically as the USA and China. Those two are the power countries in the world, I realize that. Canada is absolutely terrible in the summer Olympics and decent at the Winter. I never claim otherwise so not sure what you're trying to point out.

Don't be so sensitive dude.

only reading your post till i get to the relay statement being fact... you sir are dumb.

the frenchy who anchored and got past by Lezak swam THE SECOND FASTEST LEG OF ALL TIME... second to Lezak... that is not losing it that is the americans winning it.

maybe your hard on for US americans (awesome reference by me) is subconscious... i dunno... all i know is stating something is a FACT that is as far from a fact as possible is retarded.

as far as tonights event, like i said WE ARE ALWAYS SUPPOSED TO MEDAL and most of the time we do.

But you're wrong. In that event the Americans were expected to possibly contend for the bronze, but that is it. They weren't favorites to medal. I get you're patriotic, but sometimes you have to look at the facts. In fact you are the one taking away from the performance by saying they gave away the silver, when in fact they did a great job to win that bronze and Americans should be proud of the team and the performance they gave.

I never said Bernard swam a slow time either, you're making things up. I did say he gave it away and he did. All swimmers that have analyzed the tape of the match have said the same thing; Bernard made the biggest swimming mistake and swam too close to the line, thus letting Lezak trail him allowing him not only to conserve energy, but it also let him go faster. That is the reason he had the top time. Bernard didn't lose the race with how fast or slow he swam, but he lost it with a mental error and poor technique.

As much as you hate Canada I am right here, and you're going to have to accept it. Good luck to the Americans the rest of the way.

i will concede the gymnastics point even tho you need a new definition of the word "fact".

bernard did not give anything away he swam his best. he swam faster than anyone expected him to... we took it from him/them. Lezak simply swam a better leg than anyone has ever swam in the history of the event and the americans took it. saying anything else is ignorant when you look at the "facts" which in this case i am talking about the times posted. those are facts.

and i don't hate canada... i thought about moving to canada and still do i just hate how the only person i see diminishing the medals we win happens to be from canada and i happened to be drinking when i saw your remarks.

i apologize for coming off as some ignorant pissed off cocky american but the comment about the relay a couple of nights ago really pissed me off and then the crap about the gymnasts and how we should be happy with what we get we were not supposed to get anything is pretty frustrating as well.

we would have had the silver had we not f'ed up on the floor and the pommel. so if anything we should have had the silver and it looks like everyone is happy with the bronze but to say that we were not supposed to compete for the silver is totally against the way we approach the games.

thank the lord for that.
