OK GTC08, you have Obama winning the toss up states.

"If" that happens, he wins. I obviously don't think he will.

Can you tell us why he will retain all the blue toss up states and change some red states? What do you see in the polls, the trends or the demographics that leads to such conclusion?

As for Mark L, he's never backed up even one of his countless "predictions" with real world $$, so we can take his Fearless Forecasts as worth about $0

Ladies and gentlemen, the next President of the United States: Fred Dalton Thompson!!!!

http://forum.therx.com/showthread.php?t=541812

"
Only one man has the testicular fortitude to make the tough RIGHT decisions for a STRONG America, a FREE America, a PROSPEROUS America and a UNITED America.

Whatever you do, do not vote for the candidate the MSM is telling you will win. Vote for the best man to lead your country -- Fred Dalton Thompson."

======
It seems Fred's #2 on everyone's list across the political spectrum. Sure, we all have our favorites, but Fred is the only real consensus candidate. Fred's the only candidate acceptable simultaneously to all facets of the old Reagan coalition while exhibiting none of the sharp edges that scare voters in the middle.

Rudy, Mitt, Huckster, McCain (and certainly Ron Paul), will bleed Republican votes, a fact even their biggest cheerleaders cannot deny.

Putting aside all the campaign variables and day-to-day political 'noise', this all leads us to a very logical conclusion:

On Jan 20, 2009, Fred Dalton Thompson will be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States.
======

I would post more from this ClassicRx thread, but it was after the above quote that Mark fell into the depressant stage of his bipolar cycle and did not post for 36 hours, by which time the FredThread was deader than doo doo.

Of course he can, I don't think he will.

Are you saying an election is won on July 28?

Again GTC08, how do you arrive at your conclusions?

Polls, history, trends, demographics?

I've explained why I believe his support is soft, and why this race isn't over.

You've said stuff like "for sure".

If McCain picks Romney...he can bank on Michigan.

Maybe Americans would rather vote for a neo-con rather than a marxist.

McCain has to hold tradition red states

FL,NC,VA,IN,MO & CO

win one state between NH,NV & NM

win either OH or MI.

based on polling data today, they're all tossups.

based on how Obama faired better in pre-election polls than election day results during the primary season, I could argue McCain would win all of those states today.

Suffice to say, this thing is far from over.

Obama is the worst nominee since...well I don't know who.

Inexperience, his scumbag 'friends', his narcissistic arrogance, his awful speaking ability when he's off prompter, his Marxist policies, his audacity to change his positions within HOURS depending on who's speaking to...

When the chips are down and the campaign kicks off in earnest, all McCain will have to do is show up because Obama will stumble and contradict himself even worse than he is now.

The difference is, unlike right now, the public will then be paying close attention -- like during the debates.

Right now Obama is receiving 80% of the news coverage and the polls are tightening. Among those politco-junkies (both left and right), he's not wearing well. He just isn't. Even an unapologetic lefty like Rob Funk has admitted as much. That should tell you all you need to know.

I can't believe anyone right of Ted Kennedy would vote for this asshole.

Most Americans will pull the lever for McCain out of pure relief.

Obama is a totally unpalatable, unacceptable choice.

Another home run for Sheriff Joe. Many are awaiting your next predictions.

Every single prediction he made about Obama was 100% spot on: worst nominee, scumbag friends, narcissistic arrogance, awful speaking ability when off-prompter, Marxist policies,
audacity to flip-flop, an asshole, unpalatable, unacceptable.

What he was wrong about, was underestimating the stupidity of the libtards that voted twice for the worst piece of shit President ever.

Got it?

Damn scott, you beat me to it. .. lol

Most Americans will pull the lever for McCain out of pure relief.

His idiotic opinions are just that.....and the only prediction he made missed by a thousand miles. The fact that you can say " what was he wrong about" is really stupid.
