I can only hope that should the US find itself in further wars/attacks, we should pause and consider the results and consequences of our actions in rushing to something as irrational as armed conflict.

Lander,
No women should not be on the battle field.

That was a poor liberal idea.

I dunno Out ... on one hand if they want "equal" rights, pay & the rest of the enchalida then they should do equal work ....

but on the other hand I'd imagine they're getting in the way of the real troops

If it were up to me I wouldn't let them on the battle field.

Any military guys have an opinion on this one?

Lander,
Lynch weighs 105 lbs. She could not even carry her own equipment, someone had to do it for her. That's enough right there.

Good point. At some point these women surely start endangering the lives of the other soldiers.

As the women on my block said, "You try driving Humvee and applying lipstick at the same time while its effin 1000 degrees outside. Girlfriend deserves a medal"

Actually the driver, another female got killed in the rollover. Hero stuff is media hype

Distraction 101:

Right before the release of the previously Classified 9/11 documents, create media hype via hero worship regarding any aspect of the Gulf War.

In this manner public inquiry is derailed long enough to have aforesaid report not cause even a ripple in the waters.

Thats the old loose lips sink ships school of thought. It may have been meaningful during WW2 when the enemy was actually listening, but I don't think a few GI's complaining about the lengnth of their tours will give aid and comfort to the enemy. IMHO

I was weighing in on why they consider lynch a heroine.

But regarding the idea that complaints will "give pause to our friends and support to our enemies" type reasoning, yeah...i agree. That's quasi-patriotic bullshit.
