Can Michelle Wie make the cut?

Michelle Wie is the "Bomb". She will get stronger and will play on Men's tour. Playing the LPGA will be waste of time.

Michelle ended up 1 over for the tournament, and missed the cut. Shot 69 today 1 under, which ya have to admit, aint bad for someone 14 years old.

hats of to Michelle Wie - 68 is awesome - some of the men should hang their heads in shame.

If she maintains that sort of form she will surely shake up the LPGA very quickly - good on her. the LPGA is full of spoilt overpaid, unathletic creatures who have had it too easy for too long.

Max respect to the girl - still can't beleive she did so well and some of the men were so poor.

Rail's the greatest white athlete in Ca... ( in his own mind ). The only thing that kept him out of the NFL, MLB and the NBA were all of those inept coaches and scouts that didn't recogonize the need for 5'10" white athletes.

She had a great tournament, but it's unfair to bash the guys who lost to her.

She tied Furyk, so I guess he better call it a career and retire.

If those guys were playing match play aginst her, just trying to beat her, she wouldn't have a chance. They were playing to win whereas she was just trying to make the cut.

Best 14 yr old golfer ever was Bob May. I think Michelle would own David Duval right now. Interesting how so called sharp bettors 6 months ago were saying Annika would never break 150, and know we have a 9th grade girl missing the cut by 1 shot.

Just a note about the guys that lost to Wie ...

yes, she's amazing, but this course is in her back yard too ...

she made 2 60 foot putts yesterday (which is incredible) and I don't think playing on a neutral course would have put here anywhere near par.

That said - that girl is a phenom. Who would have ever imagined a 14 year old girl competing so well? Wow.

When I was 14 I shot 69 regularly. That nine-hole course in my hometown was tough.
