Can anyone ever remember PI being called on a hail mary pass before yesterday?

It was a good call. Both players were still running toward Endzone to get into position to make a play on the ball. Most Hail Marys involve a scrum of players just standing and waiting on the ball to get to them and the refs have allowed more leeway in those situations (like you stated).

But this play was 5-7 yards earlier from where he actually caught the ball. It was a two-handed shove and it was out in the open which made it super obvious. That's why both refs on opposite sides of the play didn't hesitate to throw the flag.

its like saying how many times is there a block in the back called on a punt or kick return that has nothing to do with the play or behind the runner, you don't remember tons of specific examples because its just a penalty, here today and gone tomorrow from your mind.

I can't wait to officially lose money on the first Hail Mary TD ever called back for offensive pass interference.

I don't know if it's true, but Bill Simmons said it was the 1st offensive PI call to ever disallow a Hail Mary TD in NFL history

Chop, if your dog shit D doesn't give up a 51-yard pass on 4th and 10, we're not even talking about this.

CHOP only called once

on Drew Pearson who blatantly and obviously while on Offense knocked down the Vikings defensive Nate Wright back negating a playoff game winning TD pass on December 28th 1975...

that is why its called a HAIL MARY

the home vikings fans all prayed a hail mary that the REFs would call it the correct way...

Is there any way this call could be connected back to the FACT that poor officiating cost SF a loss the week before?

Been gagging for years.. Most overrated player in nfl history. Plays in an absurd offensive era, in a dome, on a team that throws the ball every down.

great fantasy qb though.

Yea saints are one of the top 5 rushing teams in the NFL. Ingram only the 2nd player in the NFL this season to rush for 100 yards 3 games in a row but the saints throw the ball on every down.

I dont remember the year, but it was Patriots v Bills in Foxboro, I believe the officials called Buff for interfering with Ben Coates.

For those of you that dont think that was a pass intereference, we obviously watched a different play. Graham clearly extended his arms and pushed the defender away. It was not a "nudge" or an acting job, it was an easy call to make, which is why 2 officials threw their flag on Graham.
