Michael Jordan and Condi Rice
I'm guessing all Iraqis and Afghans would have a problem with Condi who was in on the "WMD" lie from the beginning. She's marginally less responsible than Dick Cheney

Jordan's a good choice

How about “The Rock”?
Yea everyone likes him

That was my first thought as well. Athletes are always tough, because if they're any good, they're cocky and they beat a lot of people. Maybe Usain Bolt. Alex Trebek is close to dying, so he has that going for him. Betty White and Dick Van Dyke fall in that category. Never met anyone who doesn't like Dave Chappelle, but I'm sure now that I've said it, some Liberal will come out saying they don't like him. Anyone have a problem with Paul McCartney?

Clearly Mike Tyson. Even the people who were disgusted by him can appreciate the person he is now

Americans now claim Paul McCartney and Usain Bolt as one of their own? sounds like some systemic imperialism to me :)

The question was about being respected "in America" not "from American". Jesus was from the Middle East, but a lot of people in the US like him.

Um, Whut?

There are 0 respected history scholars out there that deny the historical Jesus of Nazareth.

The only people that deny the historical Jesus are complete idiot conspiracy nutters.

Wow, what a brilliant line of argumentation, you've convinced me. We all evolved from swamp goo, which evolved from... rocks, which evolved from.. nothing.
Oh...I see. This retarded argument again. Let me see....so everything must be created by something therefore there must be a god? Wait...who created god?. Let me guess...he always existed. Makes sense

There is no god. No son of god

The evidence that he was only half-human is fairly weak. The evidence is extremely strong that there was a dark skinned, homeless hippie cult-leader from the Middle East 2000 years ago who is still followed as a spiritual leader today.

#1. Everything that begins to exist, must have a cause
#2. The universe began to exit.
Ergo: The universe has a cause

Now... to address your other statement, it can be reduced to this:
You can't explain who created God, therefore there is no God. <--- That's just not a sound argument.
